Bernie Sanders doesn't need to pander to right-wing libertarians, because right-wing libertarians constitute a meaninglessly small voting bloc. Conservative-leaning voters are so fractured, there's simply no need for Bernie or any candidate left in the race to court them. They have already divided and conquered themselves. They have canceled out their own voices. In 2016, serious candidates should focus on competing for the left and dominating among independents rather than sullying themselves by attempting to bring in the worst of the American electorate.

Sanders/Warren is the ticket which would most excite independents. Would probably win a general election at about 40/30/20 over Clinton and Trump, respectively.

Now I've heard people suggest a Donald-Bernie ticket, and quite frankly I find it amusing as it would never happen (for various reasons), but this thread takes usage of some serious psychedelics to thunk up.

Some people are supporting Bernie simply because they are in the dem party and just cant support Hillary. Though I've heard many of those say they will vote for Donald if Bernie is eliminated. But a Rand-Bernie ticket I'm afraid would just destroy the careers of those two. And on a 3rd party ticket no less, drugs and booze hah!

No, this would be a victory for the establishment when no candidate manages to achieve a majority and the thankless task of selecting a leader for the ungrateful plebeians befalls and is dutifully adopted by the moral titans of our elected representation.

If by some miracle this ticket did garner a majority though we might at long last find liberation beneath a boot at the throat and be free to recuse ourselves from the mire of frivolous social debates dementing our discourse. Most of us have already ceded our intellectual sovereignty to the bonds of ideology. Let too, us surrender those ideologies and the state from whence they were forged to foreign powers that our individual liberty might be twice removed and we be free at last of the detestable responsibility of our free will.
