So lets recap, BDA leave P99 because they aren't good enough to compete in the Velious raid scene anymore...with the warm bodies leaving in droves for better options.

BDA think that by leaving in protest that something might get done about the raid scene on P99, or that somehow Sirken will fence off some dragons for them with some guaranteed pixels like they enjoyed in Kunark. Well that didn't happen.

Bravely BDA start on Phinny (NO TURNING BACK NOW GUYS!), making sure to stop off and buy some pixels with their wallets "to help us level quickly"...Daybreak saw them coming, but it's cool because there's no such thing as a better guild as they have their own instanced dragons and can continue their awful loot council system away from criticism.

We're treated to a "here's what you can find in Zone X" list of NPCs as if that's supposed to make us all jump onto Phinny. P99's pop remains fairly steady, nobody is biting.

One by one Chest's forumquest batphone crew who are usually quick to jump in and defend their guild start to get disillusioned... their presence here shrinks. Chest just posts more updates that nobody cares about, then finally...speculation that the whole thing might be collapsing.

Even if it isn't, the guild is going to fizzle out eventually.

Additionally, yes, it does take a while to get a damn pixel sword or whatever. But that is not Hanzo's concern, nor is it Chest's. He swore, years ago, to no longer feed this madness. But the fact remained, that the voice of one makes little difference to what the voices of many still want. Whether one takes up the sword or not does not decide, that there is battle.

There's no difference in the quantity of loot that drops between a council or dkp guild. A competent loot council would award those chase bis items to their high RA members just like a dkp guild, all the dkp does is put a numerical value behind it.

The raid scene sucked dicks then, and im sure it sucks dicks now. What do rational humans do when they dont like something? Keep doin it? Naw dog, they try to change it. We went from 45 man NTOV raids when Moardots had his hissy fit over a robe that was replaced in a few months to 70 man raids. We're not dying. You can't always get every item first. Our app's are getting as much loot as mains used to get 4 months ago. It is just the way loot is distributed over time.

Same # of items drop each raid, it's instanced bruh. BDA's behind on the curve due to how long they've been on Phinny, but most of SSRA lot and a majority of VT loot will rot by the end of Luclin. Just the way it is.

You'd be dumb if you didn't use a loot council to gear 2-3 warriors each expansion. Not giving them everything, just giving them clear tank items. AoW/Vulak Rings, AHR Mask, Doze Wrists, PoTime P3 Mask/Shield, Saryrn Ranged, etc. Stuff that doesn't get replaced AC wise for 2-3 expansions. Whereas all casters and melee have better stat/focus options the next expansion easily.

Finally got level 60 2 days back on Phinigel. PoMischief drop rates seem way better over there, though Stomples has yet to drop anything of use for me... Finished up 2 flowers and have a few crowns/thrones left over that I'm trying to figure out what I want to do with.

Luclin makes content much more fun with AAs and balanced spells.

We were feeding our warriors and clerics when the entire guild was starting with rags. Now that we have a solid base we don't have any class restrictions on items. We just gave that absurd Emp torque to a fucking beaatlord last night.

Also, I didn't leave bda you gullible nerds. We had some aten ha ra loot bug out on us last Thursday so I looted the items and had the GMs move them to the appropriate people. So me and two other people got guild bugged after it was resolved. There were ghost copies of all 3 of us still in the guild, so we kicked the other two ghost people and reinvited those folks, but no one can kick me because I hold the leader tag, so I'm untagged until they fix the glitch.

Lol, the subtle troll level of Lotharus is over 9000...

And Moardots would've cleaned up. In time. He just didn't have the intestinal fortitude to stick it through the growing period. From the moment I joined he was a sub-70% raider and he got plenty of loot, considering we weren't seeing tons of caster drops in NTOV/elsewhere. (at the moment the caster loot is on rot status, and the Rogue daggers are still non existent...)

We aren't "feeding" the Warriors or clerics first now, anymore at least. Bards are snagging BIS plate gear. Beastlords, rogues, monks getting AHR neck (none of whom are officers), and our cleric team is fully able to handle any content. Considering this is a guild that was behind on progression and came aboard basically when Velious popped, I'd reckon our current status shows one of two things.

A. Everquest is EZ. Play something else that's difficult.
B. Loot Council worked. DKP works. Loot is everywhere on Phinny.

I received my first loot on 6/27 and last on 8/24. I was raiding at LEAST 2-3 weeks before I got my first loot and at least 2-3 more after my last loot. So maybe it was 3 1/2 months? Splitting hairs.

Or.. You know.. You could just award loot fairly to those that put in the time/effort to earn it regardless of their class. I definitely didn't get more loot than a lot of people. Maybe I got a little more than sub 50% attendance people playing the unfavored classes. But I got like 1 rot/meh item per month of raiding (roughly) That's not a "lot more" than anyone. Even if they got nothing.

I forget who's forum acct this is. Grogblok? Regardless at the time of losing the Vulak robe my attendance was in the 80's. Was either 86 or 88% I forget which. For the first month and a half-ish I was one of 3 people that had 100% attendance on the roster. I only dipped below 100 when we started giving attendance for unscheduled/non batphoned raids making it impossible to keep it up. The cleric that won the robe was like 5% attendance higher at the time and already had 3 BiS items and 2-3 other items awarded to them. I had 4 rotting meh items that nobody cared about. The 4 items I got would have gone for 1 dkp in a dkp guild. The 3 BiS items the cleric already had prior to robe would've been highly contested 500+ dkp bid items. So you're either lying or simply have no idea what you're talking about. Not sure which. Sub 70% and plenty of loot. Lol.

Just an FYI, Dima and a few officers from Citizen helped all their players setup MQ2 on their computers and had us all level shadowknights so we could harmtouch race bosses back on classic Fippy. If you think your doing anything significant for OGC, your stupid. Citizen/OGC always gets stomped on the first couple of expansions and waits for the other guilds to die out. If you think you're making out good in OGC, it's because you don't see how your really getting fucked. The top people in the guild are a bunch of cut-throat close knit group of friends since Fippy and don't give a shit about you.

Depends on which server you generate kronos. Generally speaking, the longer the server is up, the more expensive kronos become.

There are multiple factors involved due to Krono being shared by every server. DBG sells Krono for $17.99. They sell on the black market for about $8.00 a pop.

Kronos are always $17.99 from Daybreak. You can get as cheap as $9 each if you're willing to buy from shady 3rd parties. Cost of Krono in pp varies by server. Currently they're like 5kish on Phinny last I looked. Live servers they're like 2 million or some shit. But its apples and oranges. Making 2 mill on live is much much much different than 2 mill on TLP. I don't play live so I couldn't tell you but I'm willing to bet the time it takes to make 2 mill with a raid geared char on live isn't all that different than what it takes to make 5-8k on TLP.

They're going for about 6600-6700pp on Phinny atm. Krono prices are going up. I think people have been buying up all the Krono in order to drive up the price. It's a lot easier now with /barter and /bazaar.

You could literally get those items in AoS, IVAS, or even BDA in less than a month. Since everything is instanced, pretty much every guild has shit on farm status after one month. OGC has more mouths to feed and unbeknownst to you, your feeding like 20 alts pretending to be other players.

I don't really play with Dima anymore or EQ that much for that matter but playing with them isn't really playing when you have tactics like one guy logs in 12 shadow knights and auto-fires HT on mob spawn or 70% of your guild is running MQ2 or boxing.

Krono has been at 6kish for awhile, you can find krono for as low as $7 if you keep your eye out.

IVAS was high on my list of considerations before deciding on OGC.

I'd say what made me deserve it moreso than saying how badly I wanted it was the fact that I had more attendance and had received less loot than 2 of the other shamans that received it before me. But what do I know. The cuck council works in mysterious ways.

Personally this is a main reason I can't hang playing EQ anymore. P99 was bad, tried phin and it was just too annoying. I couldnt just fucking enjoy myself, had to be in ventbasically all the time.
I don't like it in other games either, but its a little more tolerable.

Vindi BP and Fear 2.0 draco belt were the best 2 drops I got I think in the.. year and a half? Maybe just over a year? I raided on P99. But I was at LEAST top 3 if not #1 attendance shaman my entire time in the guild. Only time my attendance dipped was when I took a break from the game for a few weeks around the holidays. Regardless of what anyone thinks of me I don't think anyone can/would argue that I didn't earn everything I got.

Bringing up HoT armor in an argument for how much loot I got is pretty silly though. I'd have to log on P99 to check but I'm fairly certain I never got HoT pants. I think Trollolololol is still wearing thurg pants. But all that shit is irrelevant anyway.

Personally I count items off NPCs with <1 day respawn as nearly zero, or maybe in a different category. Anyone can farm Sebilis a bit and buy these, or do pickup HOT pretty easily. In Rampage all that stuff was just randomed.

P.S. I agree with Jumbalaya that Hammer of the Dragonborn should be worth negative DKP due to even more buffs to cast.

We've had 1 khal drop and 1 twisted bone drop so far. Last expansion we had no thorns drop off of Tunare until about 3 weeks out from luclin when she dropped 3 at once. My current weapon setup is pretty nice. Trying to get a 41% haste item that's not linked to my weapon now.

My clerics at 6600 hp 5500 mana atm and I still have a few total garbage pieces. It's a combination of better gear + better buffs (We're in Luclin remember?) and live client I believe calculates stats a little differently than P99. Not to mention mounts with attached +300 hp/250 mana buffs. There's also clicky Koadics whatever buff that adds +250 to your mana pool. I don't have that click yet.

And I don't even have aego on. 7105 hp with ancient aego. Natural Durability AA gives you an additional 10% hp with 3 points put into it.

Sacrificing your leg slot to a 23% heal Focus versus the typical IH3 20% is a total waste, when you consider the Blob2 legs. The best beneficial spell haste focus in era is 30% on the nightcaller legs, which leads to 2.6s spot heals versus 3.8s spot heals. The next best spell haste is 18% generic on mask (and any priest would want AHR mana pres mask over the generic haste mask, meaning most have just boring 15% spell haste 3 focus). This 0.6s difference in the cast time of your spot heals is the difference between life and death of many tanks and DPS in fights. I guarantee you the 3% healing focus difference is never going to count for shit over your PD cloak or Yael ranged.

Basically. Speed > power for EQ healing almost every time. Prioritize the spell haste focus over the potency of the healing, otherwise you're an idiot who doesn't understand what EQ healing is about.

Come PoP only 2 items replace the Blob2 legs. Fennin Ro Belt and something in PoTime with the same focus (30% beneficial haste focus). Be smart as a priest. Get blob2 legs or be a shitty priest with slow heals and continue to let DPS die because your heals don't land fast enough.

AHR legs are also 18 more AC 40 more mana 5 more all resist and not stupid fucking leather. Fashionquest man. 90%+ of my healing is CH or clicky pant heals which aren't effected my spellhaste focus anyway. Pants gain the benefit from healing focus though. Situations where .6 seconds off my divine/ethereal light is make or break are honestly pretty rare.

They nerfed exp gain and mobs reset if you get too far away from them without actiively holding aggro. So you get about 2-3% AA exp a kill and can't really pull a whole zone without parts of it reseting. But people do AE groups that make a couple AA a pull.

To be fair. If I cared a lot about group content being difficult I probably wouldn't play on Phinigel. It's true that in most cases its easier than group content on P99. I'm here for raids first and foremost and as it stands Phinigel is the only place to experience EQ raiding that doesn't suck imo.

Some people choose to waste 2-3 years of their life hoping and praying they'll get lucky engage on a spawn and having that spawn drop the item they want and others enjoy playing only for 1-2 years to get those items in a much faster and non painful way. More power to the sockers who have been here for 5 years or more getting their loot but .. I'll be getting that same gear in 4 months time and getting ready to experience new content :) Enjoy your raiding experience!

Vulak is a tough race. Once you turn the 4 way you have about 1.5 seconds to target the pather and click a slowstone all while managing DAs and voiddance. Not quite as hard as Dozekar but it's up there.
