There are some face eating mobs in GoD but a lot more of it comes down to execution rather than gear.

For example... failure to balance the twins in Uqua leads to you wiping, no amount of gear can save you. Failure to kite Cursecallers in Inktuta is a death touch, no amount of gear can save you. Failure to escape the Txevu jails during the Zun is an instant gib from the ghosts, no amount of gear can save you. Etc.

There are of course quite a few faceroll fights in GoD. And there are several fights like the boss of Uqua, Vrex Braxt, where being able to do high DPS lets you skip over some mechanics. But there are far more mechanics, compared to earlier expansions, that are necessary for your raid to beat that gear/AAs have no impact on. Just your entire raids ability to pay attention and follow directions.

Where is TESO at at this point? I haven't heard anything about it for a long time. And yeah it was very very good looking. I loved how every iksar looking race told you to stay moist.

They got some more important single player questlines added like the Dark Brotherhood, etc.. The group content is whatever to me, I really only play/played it as a quest experience.

The MMO elements aren't worth stressing over. You avoid the hollow feeling and shortcoming by treating it like a Skyrim sequel.

Went ahead and scrolled through my Epic 1.5/2.0 quests and figured out which content was already in game that I could knock out. Got everything I can get done at this point finished up. Once GoD drops there are a few more pieces I need to get then I should be set for OoW launch.

I like that PoP is such a long expansion, will let me plan ahead nicely for all the other stuff. Next up is Breakdown in Communication $$$.

Oh and raiding PoTime tonight. Looks like about 16 guilds have cleared PoTime and another 3-4 are still working through the content. Love it when servers let you play the game at your own pace.

The TESO DB stuff is definitely evil as I recall, it starts off by involving an unsuspecting murder in a folkish WASPy village hub type area.

I believe its a woman too? Hazy, but I remember listening to the voiceover and thinking "alright this is definitely dark brotherhood".

The questlines can be done at any level I think it all scales accordingly so you can take a lvl 8 and just go find the DB start NPC and begin.

FF14 is probably the best visual game i've ever played, the raids were fun but it just lacked a sense of the world, Log in and get your weekly's done then log out.

I enjoyed it for the short time i played, sounds like your having a blast.

FF14 also plays EXTREMELY WELL on a gamepad. I never did any of the end-game raiding stuff but even the more difficult dungeons were very playable on gamepad. It was nice to be able to login to an MMO and just sit back and relax.

4 split all of p5 and quarm last night. Rallos is a fucking beast. Quarm needs a lot of dps or a lot of heals. Was a lot of fun and very exciting. I honestly don't even remember if the 4th split beat quarm. I think someone said we got 140-160ish loots last night. How's that wall staring for a chance to glimpse pixels you probably won't get working out for ya?

We normally pick a crew based on predetermined availabity/performance. With the number for GOD being lower who knows. Maybe 2 pre picked crews competing internally for firsts.

P5 Gods all drop BPs. Rallos is Plate, Inny is Chain, CT is Silk and Bertox is Leather.

But P5 Gods include the BPs as part of their 3 item loot table. Whereas Quarm has a 3-4 item loot table where a random BP is the 4th item which is a random chance to drop and his other 3 items are picked from a pool of loot.

Complaining about instanced and nerfed TLP servers is like complaining polio used to much more serious disease before they discovered the vaccine.

instancing was the best possible solution to an increasingly (vis: Moore's Law) toxic server culture ww. EQ2 tried to solve this problem with instances + contested. It actually worked as long as there were 12+ servers worth of players.

Honestly at this point I'd rather drop to 2 raid nights a week than keep splitting fucking eles every week for 3-4 more months or whatever it is. I can't speak for other classes but as a cleric not a single item on my list drops in elemental planes. Which wouldn't be so bad if the raids themselves weren't aids. RC is a pain in the dick. PoWater is a water zone so naturally a huge pain in the dick. Air is.. meh. Fire is okay. Doing all this crap for mostly app/alt gear would be bad enough but then add splitting on top of it and its borderline cruel and unusual punishment :P

I post more this week. weekend was all busy and stuff so didn't get updates like I wanted. there lotta significant events that I not been able to share. i destroyed lord of the fly...guys yesterday and it was good.

for all the nerds who don't really know what fun is, it have good "content" too. High quality quests and Encounters are much more involved and while my server is best and full of wonderful humans, dungeons/trials queue from a much larger pool of players from a shared datacenter, so you still get to experience overimmersed nerd rage every now and again when something go wrong if it something you feel lost without ^^

Most monks seem to want Shinai + Xegony Fists due to the H2H mod on VT Gloves. My experience in era though was when skills were hard capped at 252 so those gloves did nothing. No idea what best combo is.

I'm sure you can get both of those plus the Quarm hammer and test out a parse on Test server.
