Ya there's a lot of gem drops but a full stack of 100 diamonds is only 20k so a lot of farming to get to a 1.5mil krono on a live server.

It would be better to sell current xpac type 5 augs and gear currency but for that you'll need to box so that's 4.5mil per month to keep your own crew going.

I was given 2 Krono by a friend just after I started about two weeks ago on Phinny to get me going, and now my level 5 character has 2 krono on him, a fungi tunic, fungi staff, and some starting gear after repaying the original 2 Krono I was given with about 18 days remaining on my one month paid sub. EC tunnel quest/auction channel game is easy mode on Phinny and I'm not even that good at it nor do I really enjoy it. All of this was done passively while doing other things on the computer with the game up on another screen because my actual focused playtime is limited. I wasn't sure I would like the idea of Krono in the game, but I do now that I know people's desire to buy Krono in exchange for plat and gear will allow me to play and enjoy the game for free.

I'm not allowed to disagree with how the raid scene is handled without "bashing the staff"? I didn't directly bash any staff member. I didn't insult Sirken or Rogean. I didn't resort to name calling. I simply said the way the raid scene is allowed to exist (to me) is kinda disrespectful to the vast majority of the people that play this server. It benefits a very small minority of players at the expense of everyone else. I wouldn't be surprised if more than 80% of the active raiders on the server are extremely dissatisfied with the current state of raiding. It's literally the #1 reason I stopped playing here in the first place.

You can't have all these guides and make that claim, there is no supervision or system for moderation (and maybe that's a good thing).

You get a feel for which guides are doing what, and their personalities over time. But this takes years.

That forum is a ghost town sadly. There are global chat channels in game and stuff like guild window and serverwide announcements when bosses are killed so nobody rushes off to forums to have a circlejerk about what dragon they killed for the 150th time after filling another 3-4 poopsocks tracking it. Stuff like that eliminates a lot of the need for a server forum. Besides ForumQuest was always one of the best parts of P99. Why would I quit? I've said it before in this thread and I'll repeat it again. This is basically the only thread that I've posted in since I started on Phinny. Maybe 1-2 random posts elsewhere over the past month. If seeing my posts bothers you so much I suggest never clicking on this thread again and all your problems will be solved. If you're a person bothered by posts about BDA and Phinigel it blows my mind you would click on a thread (over and over again) with the title "BDA to Phinigel"

Not completely. The open world itself is still pretty neat enough that people will scramble for certain spawns, but the stress isn't there at all for sure.

Favorite part about phinny is that it makes soloing not worth it. You get the same amount of exp per kill soloing as you would in a group.

imo the downfall of TLP's in the past has been massive box armies ruining everything. Phinny is the first TLP to not have ppl 10+ boxing their own raids and fucking everything up + the first TLP with instances so everyone can play the fucking game without being cockblocked by neckbeards.

Any comparison to previous TLP's lifespan compared to Phinny isn't really apples to apples.

Exactly but it's not going to. We're like 8 months away from PoP which is arguably the most sought after expansion in the game. People aren't going to get 1 month into PoP and go "Whelp this sucks time to go back to P99 and play Velious PoopSockQuest"

We expect you to raid with us if you're online (and will continue to be online for the duration of the event) when a raid is called. Raid dodging will not be tolerated. If for some reason you wouldn't be available to raid but wish to remain in game it's best to talk to an officer about the situation.

Disciplinary Action

Disciplinary action will be at the discretion of leadership. Cases are documented and reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Depending on severity, disciplinary action can range from a warning to immediate guild removal and banning from ever rejoining Bregan D'Aerth.

Because you need people to show up to raid when they are online to kill shit. If you raid dodge, you are spitting in the face of everyone else who is contributing. If you have some circumstance and talk to an officer its fine (example, I'm semi-afk right now and so I'm camping this 30 minute rare spawn).

It's really only an issue for applicants - even though it's stated clearly in the recruitment section.

It is if you on you raid, if you cant you let them know why, so that if other members ask an officer why so and so isnt raiding they dont just say meh IDK. This would cause more and more members to pick and choose when to raid.

Mob doesnt drop anything i want, forget it i am staying and camping crypt.

Casual raiding guild, also doesn't raid 24/7. There shouldnt be batphones, and there shouldnt be raids everyday. There should be days off. On phinny this is a true possibility, on p99 fuck it you raiding whenever the mobs spawn.

Casual raiding guilds would honestly be better off on phinny if they want to raid on a nice schedule. One that doesnt ask their members to be able to log on at any moment any day of the week.

I don't think any other P99 guild has a Hitler/Chest like figure who is ruling us with a iron glove and threatening to kick guild mates. Certainly not Detoxx or Pint

If TMO taught me anything, it's that EQ is pretty fun without competition and I'm sincerely glad you're getting to experience that. Weird how history repeats itself huh? Back then TMO thought they were the best cause all the actual best players quit. Now Rampage quits cause burned out/raid scene sucks and Aftermath steps up and acts like its cause they're superior and they become the new "best" cause all the actual best players left. Kinda crazy when you think about it.

How many times u see "The Mystical Order" on that page? I see an awful lot of Transatlantic Rampage / Inglourious Basterds / Rampage. In fact I think Bregan D`Aerth appears more times than The Mystical Order

Very good point. I almost addressed that in my previous post but decided not to. Being the "best" at raiding on P99 isn't really something to be super proud of by the definition of most sane people.

Kronos are down to 6kpp each atm. I recently discovered a farming spot/method that I can easily earn ~2kpp an hr with very little luck necessary. Pretty sure only ppl actually spending RL $$ on Krono are bads or ppl just starting out. Pretty damn easy to earn them in game at 60.
