Everything from FF10 on was kind of lame. Never played FF7 past the first section due to dysfunctional disks.

I only ever watched Aeris die (which wasn't even intended in the game, as she had parts in later chapters left in code) and that's all I ever did :(

Definitey worth playing once, but no replay value for me personally

Ff10 is probly the biggest timesink/fun out of those. Was a well done game with tons to do just annoying characters

Have played basically all of them though. I would go FFX then LoD if I was ranking. LoD graphics going to be silly looking now, FFX much more "up to date" in comparison

Coming from someone playingq p99, this is silly. And the only upgraded thing I do play is cs:go

Oh my mania is much deeper than just P99 - I routinely play NES and SNES emulators of old RPGs. I have probably beaten Zelda 1 in nearly every possible way you can imagine...(Reverse dungeon order, no armor upgrades, speed, no heart container/sword upgrades, Getting every item w/o killing a boss and then going and killing bosses...i wont do no sword upgrade anymore because i simply don't find it fun)

Breath of Fire series is one i find myself continually replaying whenever I am sick - not sure why i only play it when i am sick but I do

You can still play FF7 on PC; either the remake they released some months ago, the original version for PC, or through PSX emulation - which also lets you use all kinds of filters to make the graphics much better!

The only thing good about FF8 was the card game. Conversely, the only thing bad about FF9 was the card game. Oh and the cringetastic weird japanese quasi-pedo eiko thing.


FF7 though one of the best FF games it's quite overrated. I liked 6, 9 and 10 better. No particular order.

LOD was great but I don't think id put it over any of those four. Maybe close/tied with 7.

For PS? hmm I'd pass on either and play something like force unleashed. Or even zelda if for anything close, which I still play the NES release sometimes still.

mgs best ps one game imho

i enjoyed lod for it's combat but agree with whoever said it has no replay value. worth a play through

legend of legaia was fun to play...the story was weak though iirc

grandia 1/2 (supposedly good)
secret of mana (this has coop too i think)
panzer dragoon saga (forgotten gem)
baldurs gate 2 (probably the only must play recommendation here from me other than mgs 1)

i was a kid for 7 and 9. tried 6 as an adult and didnt finish it. it's hard to really get into a ff game anymore. ill probably go back to it...but it shouldnt be on my list.

7 undisputed best rpg ff, thats why they are remaking it.

Arguably best of all time, but Chrono was a close 2nd.
