Velious required, posts from 2001. Anyone? Probably not but the carnage would be fun to see :]

On red I saw people farm that stuff for days straight, groups never ending when they first got into PoM.

Fuck me, last few times I checked the wiki there was no entry. Question still stands I guess.

They are supposed to be random rare drops from the deputies, but people farmed tons of deps on beta and blue/red. I don't know of any that have ever dropped.

Wiki is player maintained, it is not tied to the blue/red live databases.

Looks like someone made the page today: http://wiki.project1999.com/Blam_Stick

I was hoping you would comment on this. So they are supposed to. I'm sure if any people have gotten them it's not something they want to advertise i suppose.

We farmed around ~200 of the deputies around Velious going live and never saw one, think it's wishful thinking at this point.

Yikes. Wonder if we can get a GM to confirm if they are in and super rare or not in at all as they should be.

The real question is would anyone actually equip this? It is primary only, and extremely slow (so very few damage bonuses). It seems more of a novelty weapon to me. Uber at first glance, but in the end are better weapons out there.

The broken blam sticks can be used as a pet weapon (so no need for the regular one), the 30 dmg would really make for some awesome charm mob dps I would think.

Ignorant

Educate me by all means. Admittedly I have a bit of a skewed perspective being a monk where equipping a 9/16 weapon seems way better when factoring in double attack.

Hear! Hear! What say you devs?!

30/40 is an insane ratio on a primary 1hander.

P99 wiki is wrong. More classes can use it. For monks it's the same ratio as primal (15/20 but faster therefore better). Monks without sleeper weapons or high end raid gear would benefit from them. Ranger warrior (situational) and bard (if doesn't have epic).

As it doesn't require a raid to acquire (if you can get a coth) - it's a great weapon.

I would be curious to see a damage parse with a 2hb 30/40 vs monk epic primary only (equip a non weapon in of hand to prevent dual wielding). A 9/16 gives 2.5 more attacks in the same amount of time and has more damage bonuses. When factoring in double attack, misses, minimum damage it feels like it would be very close to me. I know it isn't a perfect comparison since 2hb damage bonus is different, but it would be a good ballpark.

Holy shit thats a 1hb

Thats amazing, i thought it was just a fashion 2hb item

30/40 is a .75 ratio. 40 delays rapes the value of the primary hand damage bonus, though.

Cekenar (not exactly a tough kill) drops 14/18 monk fist wraps. So I mean getting something better than this ultra-ultra-ultra-ultra rare item is doable for a lot of monks.

I don't know anything about PVP, but if "jousting" is still a thing I'd wager this is the BIS monk weapon. Also with triple attack (soon) Blam Stick may really shine.

Triple attack is irrelevant in the comparison of primary hand one handed weapons.

It does, however, strongly impact the relative value of 2hand vs dual wield.

jousting will never not be a thing

Bump. Would like to hear from a GM if this is dropping as supposed to.
