So, I see Iceflame (0.8 ratio) sell for 2k, and Heave Velium War lance (0.82 ratio) go for 3k.
However, Iceflame procs TONS for me, certainly enough to outperfom the 0.02 ratio the lance has over it.
So why are people paying 1k more? Is it pure fashionquest?

Half second base time difference is what I would guess.

Yeah, but it does more dmg to compensate, look at the ratios. That doesn't take into account the proc either, or the fact that if you're using a 2 hander against a mob with a DS you want a slower / harder hitting weapon anyway.

2 hundreths more damage on ratio, so it is about the same. Plus you swing more.
I'm just answering your question. Looks help too, but a 3x delay weapon is different than a 4x delay weapon.
Most delay I consider on a 2h is 40 generally. Everything else just feels like an Ogguk Cleaver.

They're going to be very close in pure melee damage after doing the math. The proc actually puts the Iceflame ahead. It does weigh more, but honestly the market isn't that efficient at valuing things.

When velious first came out i used Ice Flame, i was ok with it but always wanted something better. I felt the dps on it was lacking especially for an SK who has a gimped 2h Piercing skill. I know this statement doesnt really have anything to do with the question at hand.
