Kinda burned out on MMORPG at the moment - looking for something I can play single player in my free time. Nothing really in mind particularly, I just want to play something that is well made and fun. Dark Souls 3 was really great but I am done with it for the time being (don't really wana NG yet)
I have played a lot of games but have not been as active the last few years as i have been in the past so there could be some gems I am missing. Any suggestions?
Here is whats "on my radar" so to speak

lol rts games in this generation
fallout 4 is ok with big titty mods
DOOM is a locked arena shooter thats kinda short with shit online, no horror aspects
and never really heard of the rest you listed.
Your best bet is to play super mario world for the SNES
Terraria is a nice game you can play in the background.
(options : pause the game when switching window)

Fallout 4 survival mode is really fun. I just started playing it and would recommend it to people who like that sort of thing.

Nobody said it yet but Grim Dawn is an excellent game if you like ARPGs. It has very positive reviews and is basically the hacky-slash game that Diablo II fans were expecting Diablo III to be like.
DOOM has a super fun single-player campaign but it's short and as pointed out, multiplayer is dildos. You're better off waiting for it to be severely discounted on Steam sale a couple years from now.
Personally, the only game I've been playing for the past while is Overwatch because it's by far the funnest PC game I've played in the last 5+ years besides the Dark Souls series.

Games i've been randomly playing off and on last few months:
Overwatch, FIFA 16, The Culling, Gloria Victis, Golf with your Friends, H1Z1, Rocket League, Speedrunners(been playing this with my son). I prefer to play games with others then play Solo games as you can see. Faster then light and few other cheapo games are worth their money(less then a dollar) but not sure how long they are playable.

I played the first Overwatch + xpac and enjoyed it - I heard the new one is a RNG sh!t show and that its not as fun =(...You say the new Overwatch is good though?

Either you're thinking of a different game or I didn't get the joke.

I don't play single player games anymore. Realized several years ago that I don't enjoy playing by myself and don't even really enjoy RPGs either. I feel like I have to talk to every npc and spam search around every wall and object so I don't miss something g and it just isn't fun. I just like exploring (worlds and systems), collecting and character creation. I would suggest you give Flyff a go. It is online, but was fantastic when it came out ^^

Well, I voted total war as shown, but you could +1 the vote on Stellaris as well since I missed adding a vote for that. Half vote for Fallout 4 atm, maybe later full vote.
Now I haven't played Stellaris, but I'm definitely a fan of Space Sims for a many years. Stellaris is a 4x hybrid, but still looks ok. But as far as space sims go, for single-player, by far X3:Terran Conflict (http://store.steampowered.com/app/2820/) or X3:Albion Prelude (http://store.steampowered.com/app/201310/) (X3:AP is an expansion) are absolute kings of the space sim genre. Just as much as Skyrim is to the fantasy RPG genre imo. 8 and 5yrs old respectively, but graphics still look great (dx9), game play well polished and stable (very deep sims and still receives maintenance patches hah just today in fact), lots of excellent mods for customization.
As for total war, hard to ever go wrong there.

Path Of Exile, if you're into Diablo 2 style ARPGs.
Fractured Space if you like MOBAs but want to try one with spaceships.
Both games are completely free too.
I haven't played any of the games on your list.
