Frostwrath - open ToV raid ?

Lord Kreiz Paly weapon went nearly for free yesterday, talk to some of Awakeneds bankers and try to get yourself on a short list to be contacted should something rot

but you need to be able to make it to ToV in a timely fashion as well as have the cash easily avail. Frostwrath is probably one of the best 1handers out there so that one is going to be hard to buy with plat as the guild members themselves usually will need it. Unless you blow the coffers away that is :)

With that said, frost wrath is kind of rare. I've seen it drop very few times, maybe 1 a month at the most? Meaning 1 guild per Month might get one

I don't understand why this weapon is all that. OK, it has a nice ratio and DD proc. If you are trying to make the parse as a sword and board knight, you are doing it wrong anyway.

The only things that should matter on a Paladin 1H are AC and HP, and Frostwrath is quite mediocre there (20AC and no HP). I'd take the 40AC Telkorenar sword over it any day, or even something like Cekenar's Claw (15AC 100 HP) which rots half the time I bet.

Frostwrath is the best ratio 1handed sword I think Knights can get their paws on

it provides solid +mana and has AC as a nice bonus but people use it for the uber ratio and damage proc

you arnt gonna turn into a dragon slaying dps superstar but if you arnt tanking, this is the weapon to use

when tanking I agree with Raev, there are much better options, the issue is that Knights are rarely tanking on raids so they might as well do as much damage as they can

Anyone actually parse these weapons, or comparable like great spear, lance o' thunder vs something like dawncaller or FW? I'm really curious about this as well. Haven't had the opportunity to test high end 1h vs 2h myself.

You're way better off using a fast 1hander since you get more chances, and the minimum hits you see are almost same as the 2handers.

Might change when 2hander buff comes along, but currently I just don't see 2handers being worth it at all.

All estimates are for a warrior, but it suggests @1.8 mod (so like HOT or so without Avatar): Frostwrath 55.9 dps, Rocksmasher 56.8 dps, Palladius 59.2. And after the 2HB upgrade, Rocksmasher goes to 65.6 and Palladius to 67.0. For comparison: Epic/Shissar is predicted at 48.5 dps, and Frostwrath + (upgraded) Blade of Carnage: 73.11. So Frostwrath is a lot more impressive than I thought in the damage category, but I'm guessing if you do a long parse it will still come out behind 2H. Would love one on Sakuragi, though . . .

If it wasn't for server rules about presence at a camp and training, you might be right here, but I'm predicting Chardok will be absolutely flooded especially at first. All of the POM farmers will move and the price of thrones will skyrocket :p

Chance of a group going all the way down to the bottom of chardok for Kennel/Overseer area will be slim. Yea maybe at the start. But after it calms down, I seriously doubt it.

As for inspector, nobody does Koro room now on chardok. So that's not gonna change.

Well, Warriors get higher double attack (and triple attack), higher offense, higher weapon skills, critical hits, etc etc. Add them all up and it's not surprising that they do way more damage.

P.S. If Awakened/Aftermath will sell me a Rocksmasher for a reasonable price, I'll do the parses . . .

For the most part Brut is right, you can get large strings of stupidly low hits/misses and a very low appearance of high hits. You can fight a mob the whole time with a weapon that has a max hit of 292 and never see a hit over 200.

On the flip side with weaker AC mobs though, 2handers can come out ahead. I don't have very great data either way because for a lot of fights I have to do some healing or curing or get asked for buffs etc. I also know knight deeps aren't good so I have Avatar but I'm not going out of my way to look for Ranger attack buffs or whatever. Under ideal conditions, buffs, and luck, can pull crappy geared monk dps.

Anyway, back on topic: I think in Awakened we've gotten over 10 Frostwraths and we got some back as well in Rampage so a decent cash offering with no in need mains around might get you in the mix. Obviously though, I'm not as well in the know as Eratani.

Agreed. I use frost wrath on most encounters because it is one of the Knights best dps. I see poor performances with my 2 handers. And sick of multiple misses with 2handers. I tend to only use 2 handers just for their procs like SK epic for free self healing & not for higher dps.
