Honestly don't know if this is where I'm supposed to request

this because this is my first time doing so. I have read

around trying to find the correct way to do it. Either way I'm

requesting this because I have a few family members that

have been peering over my shoulder for days in interest and

they want to start playing!

Sincerely,

Joe M.

From what I understand you're supposed to post them in the Petition forum. I put one in last night, still awaiting a reply though. Hopefully today :)

I put up a post in the petition forum on December 17th and still haven't gotten a reply. As far as I've read, they do them in batches so it can take some time until he gets around to doing another set of them. Patience is your friend.

My wife and I also put a request in on New Years Eve and still have not gotten a reply. Until then I have commandeered a friends internet service so we can play together (we have two servies coming into the house temporarily). Hopefully he does the next batch soon, our friend needs there internet back.

Install a router for your friend and siphon his internet. This would also give you the ability to two-box like the pros here.

If only it was that easy.... The type of internet they have is high speed wireless (the box looks like our ADSL internet box, but it is wireless). So if any "Pros" here know how to hook up a router and send the signal 3KM (5miles) down the road from there house to ours, I am all ears.

The "pro" up there is being facetious. Two-boxing is not permitted here. Just need to be patient as they do the exemptions in batches.

My girlfriend and I also want to play together here. So I wrote a petition in this forum. However, I fear that there may be a problem with our ISP. It is so, that the IP changes every 24h, sometimes completely (not only the last digit).
Anyone has an idea whether it still would be possible to get an IP exemption ?

An ip exemption should not require a static ip.
More than likely it is a control on inbound connections that looks at the ip and the standard rule is one connection per ip. If you try more than one, it stops you.

The devs would have the ability to allow more than one connection from a single ip as an adjustable rule. It doesnt matter if it is a dhcp or static ip, as it is for the session.

Most folks do not have static ip's at home.
