Banish on trakanon

Does it work through DA? Meaning only person on agro with DA is able to be banished by Trak?

Getting mixed answers if someone knows for sure that it does or doesn't (nothing to do with positioning)

Trakanon may attempt to banish someone with DA active, but they are protected. This is the go-to strategy to bleed the first banish.

I frequently engage with my oom coth mage using the sky ring to bleed the banish and aoe. Or a necro or cleric or my rogue with a DA idol. Turn spell effects on!
