Sol A Melatite for Darkforgegreaves

I visited SolA today to get melatite for my SK Darkforge Armor. It seems the melatite is ultrare on the Clockworks i camped at the Entrance direct behind the Winge bridge the whole afternoon. Good xp and no wipeout but no melatite ! :( Now I logged out there and hope tomorrow is better. Anyone knows more ? :confused:

It's not common but it's definitely not ultra rare. You just got a little unlucky. It's possible it also only drops on certain models.

If you kill clockworks located at number 4 on sol A map (http://wiki.project1999.com/Sol_A), by Lava elemental room, you will definitely have better luck. That's where I was killing those to get the melatite, and I would say the drop was uncommon.

Thanks, i got 4 pieces Melatite yesterday but on the wrong server it seems. I will change to proj1999 cause it seems much mor fun there then daybreak servers. I played a lvl 50 DE/SK (shadowangel), on inoruuk server, pre Kunark and that was much better then the daybreak servers today. Hope to see you soon on proj1999 server.

I've killed thousands of clockworks leveling numerous characters there (sol a is one of my favorite zones), and like others have said, it just sounds like you had bad luck. I don't think they drop any more commonly in one area than another, so I'd just chill at that safe room near the swinging axe. I've seen it drop there dozens of times and that area is definitely safer than going all the way up to lava elemental. If you've got a group and want a bit of adventure, going deep into gnome area is pretty fun if you're level appropriate though. Safe room near axe is definitely the easy way to go though.
