Paladin twink

My monk is about to hit 60. I also have a lvl60 druid.

Right now I don't have enough time to dedicate to end-game. I only hop on every now and then to play with real life friends. I have probably only logged on a dozen times since velious has been released.

I have a good chunk of cash to dedicate to this twink but I have no concept of velious gear. Please help.

Please don't assume I know anything. I am going to get 6ac 65hp rings unless there are better ones. Are 35hp 25mana earrings still the way to go?

What is a good chunk of change?

Are you going to play this pally with friends or solo?

If dwarf or high elf, cultural armor is a good choice to fill most of your visible slots. Otherwise crustacean armor or crystal chitin armor would both be good pally sets. As for the one-hander, get a massive dragonclaw shard if you can - 28/30 will steamroll at level 20+. Sarnak Battle Shield for offhand unless erudite (then get the stalwart seas shield). Dragon Tooth Choker wiuld be a good neck.

If you plan on soloing a lot, stack some extra strength with Thick Banded Belt etc. Also getting some charisma gear to swap in will save your life more than once if you like crawling dungeons alone (Dragonskin Mask, Kobold Jester's Crown, Crude Stein enough for a start).

If you've got a decent weapon to go with your fungi and COF, you really don't need much else to absolutely shred your way to at least the mid-30s.

I used the same sword for my pally and it puts out some decent dps. 1 flash of light and you can keep aggro easy unless a rogue isnt evading. I would keep a shield for casters and when that spell goes off just take sword out and swap a shield for bash. Then go back to sword.

Chest: Fungus Covered Scale Tunic
Back: Cloak of Flames
Arms: Crystal Chitin Armplates
Bracers: Silver Chitin Wristbans, Ice Forged Shackles
Gloves: Crystal Chitin Gauntlets
Legs: Paid 10k for Thurg plate MQ
Boots: Barbed Dragonscale Boots

This took me to 51 really fast in Guk soloing. Unfortunately due to work I haven't played in a couple months but he's still getting good exp at 51 soloing or duoing in Guk
