Also if you think you were able to do that in classic your a fucking reject, you could NEVER do that on dial up. This, more or less, was addressed in the last patch to reduce the number of targets aoe can land on at one time.

It sorta fixed it. But you can still pull entire zones but only hit 25 mobs at a time.

What amuses me is that I've never really had a problem with these retard bards. Stop going to the zones where they go. Abuse them verbally while they are kiting, get them rustled so they die, and move on.

I had cable when i played EQ and I quit playing before Luclin, 2 weeks before it launched in fact.

There was a bard in my guild that paid me back for a rez by letting me group for a kite...i had never seen anything like it before and my XP bar moved...knowing what i know now, he was obviously swarm kiting of some kind.

Rude bards are just rude players who play bards...it isnt the class, it is the player.

I see a lot of terrible bards on this server. I seen a bard in a group recently who wouldn't pull, and wouldn't tank (made me tank). I guess it was all he could manage to keep two songs running.

What zone are you going to that bards are swarming??? I really only see bards swarming in Overthere, dreadlands, burningwoods and maybe a couple places in velious. All these zones are meh exp.

Even playing a bard i wouldn't mind if they took all AE spells and songs down even further to lets say 10 targets. That would fix things. Swarming is just an exploit made possible by todays superior hardware and it's bad for the game over all.

IMO nerf quadkiting too. Doubt it was the initial intention of Verant when they put it the Targeted AE spells in the game.

Hard tank is actually not awful. They rustle monsters at least as well as they rustle players. Ain't no shaking that aggro and they are pretty durable. They can also snare kite in circles around melee if too slushy. Like all things hard though, it is not ideal, but it works ^^

May as well nerf feign death as well. VI had not anticipate FD splitting to evolve as it did. That is one of the things I liked about classic EQ though. Developers did not nerf unintended mechanics to force play to conform to their design intent.

Gotta agree, it was cool the devs just gave each class a bunch of 'themey' abilities, without thinking how they might be 'exploited' and letting it evolve from there... That said, most of the evolutions did eventually get nerfed...

Regardless of whether it could be done in classic or live or the current state of P1999, a bard (or anyone) pulling and kiting an entire zone is very clearly against the Global Server Rules for Project 1999 so I am confused as to why people pulling and kiting entire zones and/or causing massive trains aren't just getting reported and banned.

* Monopolizing/Engaging/Occupying most or all of the mobs in a non-raid area. This can be with or without intent to kill.

But really, be an adult and say something to them first. If they. Usually they'll change their path or even offer you their mobs. We did guardian wurms (hit for 530) in Skyfire recently with a bard tank and he was way better than any of the Warrior/SK/Ranger/Pally/Monks we've had tank them before! He could single pull, snare it and keep aggro to where I had them malo/malosini'd/slowed by the time the mob even got to the group. He kept insane aggro (I'd never even get hit on my shaman even slowing them) and took hits like a champ. I was very impressed.
