I was playing some vidya, minding my own business, when my phone lit up. It alerted me that I had been signed out of messenger. I log back in and it says that I've been banned from facebook for 3 days, and said one of my pictures had been removed for violating the Facebook terms of service.

My question is, how is a sun cross against the terms of service? It's just a religious symbol. I see people with crucifixes, muslim stuff, and menorahs and such as their profile pics all the time, and this one had been hanging out in an album for about a year.

They didn't give me a specific rule I violated. Was it just a wonky ban bot coming through? Anyone else having these problems?

Probably because white supremacists use it, but you probably knew that.

The ADL added the "sun cross" and other forms of the celtic cross to their hate speach database siting the uss of similar crosses used by white supremacist groups as well as nazi groups.

Unless you want to start beating up skin heads and forcing them to stop appropriating the celtic culture there is nothing you can do.

So because a small minority of people use it in a certain way, it means anyone who uses it is a nazi? Sounds like the (((ADL))) is generalizing like they tell everyone else not to do.

This is clearly part of that white genocide stuff everyone is talking about. Imagine if images of fists were banned because the black panthers use it to represent their analog of skinheadism.

I agree. It's pretty stupid. No words, symbols, images, or idea should be banned. Problem is these past 2 generations are filled with a bunch of self entitled cry babies who get a booboo on their feelings every 10 minutes. They feel like they are unprotected. Their mommies did a terrible job preparing them for the real world and their schools allowed them to ignore critical thinking as a skill. Only thing left to do it take our words, symbols, images, and ideas back by force. If you see an asshole using your cultural heritage to symbolize their backwards ideology you need to step right up to his dumb ass and take it from him with a swift punch to the throat.

I was right there with you until this sentence.

Freedom of speech/expression is a cornerstone of American freedom. People can say whatever they want, because 'sticks and stones' is still relevant. I might not like what you're saying, but i'll be god damned if I don't support your right to say it.

That being said, people shouldn't be penalized for small groups misusing or adopting images, sayings, ect. By that logic, we should ban being Tibetan because the Nazis adopted the swastika.

it means somebody got mad and reported you, if you figure out who did it report them for having a fake name and their profile will either get banned or blocked for at least a week even if their name is real.

reminds me how i luv hanging out with my native friend who has a whirling log tattoo on her face, its great when people freak out and call her a white supremacist when shes latino and native.

Facebook has gotten lame, prime example in your first paragraph.

How'd she get the tattoo done? I like researching traditional tattooing.

dunno i haven't asked about it. i've been considering getting a bone+pigment tattoo tho. thinking about doing some of the siberian ice maiden tats.

yeah facebook also targets and bans people who post wikileaks or anything anti-hillary, you can also get auto-banned for posting the names of certain correct the record employees.
