Will be watching. Hope they've made progress on the graphics and animation side. That will help a lot of people take the game more seriously.

All the gfx in the world won't make/break this game, the genre has moved too far from the classic style for this to be taken seriously.

Flashy action meaningless combat with pointless stories in a sandbox is the meta now. See BDO, revelation online, blade and soul, etc..

Revelation is in cbt1 for west wouldn't call it a fail and looks decent for that type of mmo.
Blade and soul probably still has people for the pvp the 3v3 was atleast different with the way you could interfere.

I actually enjoyed the story in blade and soul depth is what bored me the story was pretty decent. Good enough there's an anime for it.

Definitely, most new MMOs staying power is under a year before p2w kicks into high gear and server merges happen (hi2u BDO). I hate what the genre has become, probably why I stick to p99.

Yes, they are. None of these trendy mmos are doing well or keeping a captive audience. People say it can't be done, but they say that while failing to understand how MMOs have changed in the last 15 years, and why the olds ways offer better communities and more for players to do.

Pantheon will do fine just as it is. The gameplay in the streams was solid and the world looked great. Just need to spruce up them models animations and fx.

Not really AA is a massive game and had/has serious staying power.

Very well I just didn't appreciate the BDO and other comparisons which really aren't applicable due to the sheer depth of AA, including its progression systems.

Yeah, except they lost like 50% of their pop in under 3 months. Probably 75% under 6.

I actually agree that AA does have staying power if it wasn't pay 2 win. If they slowed it down a bit and didn't allow people to pay to advance, it would have done much better. Even more if they eliminated some RNG and replaced it with time and skill checks.

Just go ahead and purchase now and help fund development. Anyone on the fence should check out the stream Friday and see what they think.

I'm happy if the idea of this game give some of you nerds some solace, but by the time this thing is in any type of playable condition it will be like 2021. I predict Pantheon to be a dumpster fire

Should have watched the stream. It's already playable, as they were already playing it.

Visuals were much improved. The finished product will cure cancer.

This looks like exactly what eq nerds have been asking for. Criticizing it already? Sheeeit.... Like they said they said they are shooting for PRE alpha in Q1 or Q2 2017. Thats the goal, its not set in stone. So for this being a very early build i think it looks pretty god damn good. I mean, they really are YOLOing it here. Trying to cater to the OG EQ playerbase, but also having the need to incorporate modern MMO luxuries. I've loosely followed this since Mcquaid like made some deal with Rog and Nilberg and advertised here for a short time. Not sure what happened with that actually. To me it seems like an EQ/Vanguard hybrid. Which would make sense. I think theres potential here, but i dont really groove on playing in alpha/beta stages of games. Def would buy this shit when it releases though.

If it rivals Daybreak's EQ they probably won't appreciate Brad coming on and advertising any potential competition.

Wasn't EQ still in the hands of Sony at the time he showed up here?

I highly doubt Rogean and Co are going to censor any advertisement of Pantheon. That would be crazy. They don't censor advertisement of any other games or eq emus that I have ever seen.

Um they supported the failed Kickstarter attempt, so no, not expecting any censorship.
