Hah, I almost posted an identical comment a few hrs ago, except it was 'China doesn't want 25 million unskilled, ignorant nincompoops.' Brainwashed implies they aren't at least partially responsible for their government. Honestly it takes a special kind of incompetence and broken value system for that regime to persist for decades. Even in total isolation with their government lying to them and filtering information from the outside world, something better should arise organically if the people are worthy.

Democracy started in places where people didn't view themselves as victims of the government, but recognized it was their responsibility to hold the state accountable, and that the government ultimately answers to the people. Of course this also doesn't work when the society is ignorant or otherwise lacking in civilized values. North Korea is failing hard in both regards, and I have little sympathy for them.

More and more I'm looking at Trump through the lense of the Republican's Obama. They want to believe his shit and looked the part and all -- but its becoming obvious that he isn't going to actually deliver much. Meanwhile the media isn't even giving him a chance (similar to Fox with Obama).

There is a lot of complaining recently over his confused Foreign Policy. Just as there was lots of talk about Obama's weak FP. The thing is: Americans need to decide wtf they want. Do we want to keep as much power as possible or allow a less America-as-hedgemony to take place around the world?

There has been this kind of Rand Paul libertarian streak among the Republicans -- but the rest seem hungry for a demonstration that America is still number 1. Meanwhile the peace wing of the Democrats has long been completely dis-empowered by the pro-military wing of the party.

IF we want to maximize our power/hold on the world. There are ways to go about it.

IF we want to go "America First" as a more "isolationist" or less imperial path, then there are ways to go about that.

But so far both Trump and Obama want to do both at once. It isn't working very well. Poor results notwithstanding, they aren't getting enough feedback from the American people what kind of global presence they want. Most believe that the people are too stupid to have an opinion about foreign policy and its a problem for the elite anyway. I would like not to believe that if possible.

Nah like I edited in on the first paragraph a couple posts back (I know you missed it), they are truly separate countries now. They don't even refer to themselves as NK and SK, there will never be a reunification. Even ethnically they are changing, SK being taller people on avg. But many NK's want out, sure, though if the situation would change so would that desire to leave for some. NK likes Western culture just like SK, even just like Iran, they love jeans and rock music and video games etc. But that doesn't make everybody want to be all in the same border.

What the "greed is good" speech was about was our shift from allowing management to run the firm to focus exclusively on shareholder value on a quarter to quarter basis. This is basically the start of all our problems in the last 30 years as far as I can tell. You can make a little extra money in the short term by getting them to exclusively focus on the next 3 months. But in the long run -- it should be obvious this mentality will cost us.

Trying to follow what your are saying .... They are one in the same. Meh cant find that chart, it was well made, but it died on my dead PC. When I say "globalist" I mean the globalist elite. They are people, not a process of trade as Al d Gore seems to think. These people, at the top, are super wealthy and have their hands into everything. Most of them have an end-goal, usually unified and defined goal with other global elites (e.g. world depopulation to ~300 million people etc). Some of it speculation, but other points openly boasted about by people like Kissinger etc.

When I say mega-corp, I'm speaking of the huge corporations that are usually controlled by the globalist elites. Not all corporations fall into that definition. In fact there are many good corporations, not connected to any elites, though more often they being destroyed by these mega-corps as they buy or create politicians to make special rules for them (by the globalist elites) and while regular corporations suffer every rule made to supposedly stop these mega-corps (smoke and mirrors).

I can say Illuminati, I can say globalist elites, I can say shadow government, I can say mega-corporations, I can say wall-street elites, it's all just the same general group of people in a type of pyramid structure where those at the top are in the know and those following at the bottom are useful idiots. Politicians fit in here and there, just part of the group effort. Not necessarily at the top, but a very necessary position for those top elites to have on their payrolls (usually kickbacks, inside information or future elevations etc.).

Greed isn't really about it, like I said it's power. The power to reshape the world by a certain ideology. Not there yet, takes time, and maybe less resistance than they are receiving now.

Globalism is an important part of that. hmmm... odd reading your post mein kampf comes to mind. The final solution wasn't just for the jews anyway, but for any that didn't fit the idea of the proper human being, at least when they got around to the rest. Even the Germans themselves really didn't fit the ideal makeup of an Aryan and would likely be exterminated at some point. Even another reason for the eugenics program, and as they planned to exterminate the undesirable, which has had it's claws into US programs such as planned parenthood (you cant deny Sanger was a eugenicsist).
