So those sources?
There's an argument to be made here that 90% of all things that are used are created by the 10% of the population. Take music for example. 1% of all music made is in regular use. From the composers in the 1700-1800's, 1% of the music that is made is in circulation today. Of that 1% from Beethoven or any other composer from that time period, only 1% of their songs or music is used.

Not hard to find a source. Reddit - 1% of users posts all the comments. YouTube 1% of users post all the comments. Music 1% of the music is widely circulated. Wealth 1% of the population controls a vast majority of the wealth. Sports, 1% of athletes make it to the professional level. Actors, 1% of actors make it to the big screen.

And theories like Price’s law are merely ideas — not facts. They don’t hold up in every single situation. So before the pretentious idiots go out and theorize about all the limitations of Price’s theory, let’s stop and think about what we can learn.
Because understanding the underlying idea of Price’s law can make your life a lot easier.
Look at your current profession. Are you in a position to create substantial value? If the answer is no, move on to a different place where you CAN."

Well, he reveres Carl Jung and speaks to that area of psychology, which does not exclude philosophy, mythology, or religious teachings. If you take issue with most anything Peterson puts forth, you won't like what Jung had to say on the matter, particularly towards the end of his life. Peterson's fame comes from YouTube, but so what? All kinds of educational content is on there, from Brandon Sanderson teaching lit college courses to Simon Schama talking about the tumultuous lives of painters throughout history.
Also, most if not all young males are degenerates by nature, whether they're conscious of it or not. Young males today just have greater and easier access to explore those tendencies than before. Dial-up internet did not allow for the best uninterrupted smut experience; if you bypassed parental controls using Napster or Kazaa, it took hours to download and the titles/descriptions often didn't match the content. Degenerate? Yes, but back then it required creative problem solving skills and patience. Undeniably good character traits.
That's been a talking point of Peterson's--how we operate based on unconscious drives and expectations within our cultures, often becoming dysfunctional through some conflict of the two, then later perhaps reaching a state of maturity beyond our parents and their parents, recognizing one family's small part in this longstanding, bleak, and largely unfair human endeavor. That isn't pandering at all. That was the shit Hubert Selby wrote about, and what Orwell wrote about in Down and Out in Paris and London.

That's substantially different than asserting a natural hierarchy of the number 1 and calling yourself enlightened. I'm worried you're just name-dropping Jung for cred but I'm not versed enough to know.

If I were to write at length about Jung, it would be absurdly long and probably dull to most, and distract from the topic. But Jung did not go about psychology in the usual buttoned-down labcoat manner later in life. It became experimental and creative, even to the extent of documenting his own psychosis and unconscious experiences in The Red Book. The images alone are fascinating to look at. He seemed preoccupied with dreams and finding a connection between the symbolism within them and our perceptual reality.
https://youtu.be/ZVgMgMsMCww
But I just scratch the surface, only a little square of it. My postcount and join date are what my self-worth is hinged upon. Credibility is Jung's, dropping his name should do nothing to anyone else's unless they manage to offer new thoughtful commentary to his own about the human being. And to talk about Jung's views would take too long; I only referenced him here because Peterson does in lectures semi-frequently, which is relevant not to BallzDeep's argument or Incel's, but Peterson's as he has researched, written, and spoken extensively on the subject and they have not (nor have I for that matter, at least by comparison). There are of course interviews and audiobooks of Jung's on YouTube as well. Why hear it described by someone who heard it? Though that argument could be used against Peterson and his interpretations.
Am I drinking the punch, or in the case of Peterson, eating the meat? Idk. That's for others to conclude. It's terribly difficult to see oneself as one actually is, rather than other more preferable alternatives. And, in saying that, if incels have somehow rallied around Peterson, I must have missed that headline which wouldn't be surprising since I had to google black pill. But this goes back to the whole deal with culture.
Incels blame everyone else it seems, as if the supposed unfairness of their circumstances was a bad thing. Bad has brought about of a lot of good, such as Blues music. Bad is part of life. To want only what we perceive to be good is a weakness we wouldn't even admit to ourselves because that wouldn't feel good. I haven't followed what people who call themselves proud boys, antifa, or incels are angry about. The incel argument is what exactly, that nice guys never get the girl? They don't and it's because they aren't nice. No one is that nice, not really, not without conditions. Getting laid was their condition. An awareness of that part of them beforehand could have helped to prevent whatever it is they think they're going to accomplish.
If a guy doesn't hesitate to be blunt or even rude, at least the woman knows what she's dealing with. Overly nice guys are nice because that is understood to gain favor and eventually have sex. Like a politician wanting your vote and saying all the right phrases, kissing the babies, and smiling for the photo ops. Bill Clinton using his thumb to point, rather than his finger. This social media behavior has been going on since before The Brady Bunch, but always the double life gets exposed. That YouTuber who hit and spit on her dog, for example. YouTuber (abuse) / dog. Nice guy (incel) / single girl. The shadow aspect of the self. This is oversimplifying things, but it's late.
But the point is, the nice guy wasn't especially nice to girls before puberty. Puberty arrived and television said, be a gentleman. So he's hiding primal intentions to be socially acceptable, making him a danger to others if he doesn't get what he wants. Or he is so groomed that he isn't even aware of his inherent capacity for violence, which makes him a danger not only to others but also to himself. That is some of what Jung was getting at. To be made aware of that dark, instinctual and aggressive part of the mind, because it's there. It's had ages and ages to develope. Chimpanzees display it. Our ancestors wrote about having participated in it. And if it isn't examined or allowed to be explored within reason, it will manifest in groups searching for an outlet to impose that aggression out onto society, in order to have one's own mental imbalance actualized there, creating a false sense of equilibrium in the process.

Agreed but just as Price's law can't be dismissed, Jung has merit in regards to a conductive philosophy on many different aspects. As stated before, mob mentality doesn't mean something is right or wrong and as Ennewi has stated, modern research has resembled something closer to Jung's vision. A rational person would tell you that if follow the guidelines of philosophy set out by Jung and Peterson, you will most likely not be a degenerate (life of crime).
It would also echo what Jung even saw during his time, “I am losing my faith in the possibility of a rational organization of the world,” and “as for ideals, neither the Christian Church, nor the brotherhood of man, nor international social democracy, nor the solidarity of economic interests has stood up to the acid test of reality.”

The president of the country with the largest nuclear arsenal in the world is seriously considering nuking the Atlantic Ocean.
The source, who paraphrased Trump's remarks to Axios, said that the President said, "They start forming off the coast of Africa, as they're moving across the Atlantic, we drop a bomb inside the eye of the hurricane and it disrupts it. Why can't we do that?" Asked by Axios how the briefer responded to the President's suggestion, the source said he "said something to the effect of, 'Sir, we'll look into that.'"
The President then asked how many hurricanes the U.S. may be able to stop and reiterated his suggestions, according to the source, which caused the briefer to be "knocked back on his heels."
"You could hear a gnat fart in that meeting. People were astonished. After the meeting ended, we thought, 'What the f---? What do we do with this?'" the source told Axios. (https://www.cnn.com/2019/08/26/politics/donald-trump-nuclear-bombs-hurricanes/index.html)

The Department of Homeland Security will transfer more than $200 million to Immigration and Customs Enforcement to pay for a massive increase in detention beds and temporary courts at the U.S. border, according to congressional and homeland security officials.
Some of those funds, $155 million, will be diverted from FEMA's disaster relief fund. The fund pays for the federal response to catastrophic events, like hurricanes or wildfires. The funding transfer comes as hurricane season ramps up and Tropical Storm Dorian takes aim at Puerto Rico this week.

When aides have suggested that some orders are illegal or unworkable, Trump has suggested he would pardon the officials if they would just go ahead, aides said. He has waved off worries about contracting procedures and the use of eminent domain, saying “take the land,” according to officials who attended the meetings.
“Don’t worry, I’ll pardon you,” he has told officials in meetings about the wall. Asked for comment, a White House official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said Trump is joking when he makes such statements about pardons.

During weekend's G7 summit, French President Emmanuel Macron reportedly said the US didn't sign on to a charter against online hate speech. Why? Macron said "legal reasons"
"We formalized an agreement for the first time with several Anglo-Saxon and European platforms and with support from nearly all (G7) countries," Macron told reporters, according to Reuters. "We had a very good discussion with the United States, which for legal reasons was not able to formalize the agreement on this point."
The White House didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
France, the G7 summit host, originally hoped to get social media giants to sign the "Charter for an Open, Free, and Safe Internet" on Friday. Facebook, Snapchat and Google were among the platforms set to sign the charter.

Still, Trump flashed signs of optimism this week that the trade war could be resolved, saying he's received calls from Chinese officials saying they wanted to restart talks. Though Trump and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin insisted there had been "communication," aides privately conceded the phone calls Trump described didn't happen they way he said they did.
Instead, two officials said Trump was eager to project optimism that might boost markets, and conflated comments from China's vice premier with direct communication from the Chinese.

does the fact that this president regularly makes up random bullshit really not bother you?
It depends on what we are talking about. Are there things I disagree with the President about? Sure. Am I the most gullible person for Anti-Trump propaganda like Horza or Wookie? No. Most of the things posted are opinion pieces and I can separate the two.
I typically try to use a pragmatic approach. Here is a prime example with the given situation. Was the Hurricane slated to have some diminished effects in the states surrounding FL? Yes. Did Trump make the statement when the effect of the Hurricane was unknown? Yes. Do we know for a fact if Trump himself drew the trajectory? No. Do I even give a shit if the answer was yes or no? No.
I can make anyone out to be a lying piece of shit given enough media attention. New companies make money off making someone look like a piece of shit, whether they are or aren't. Horza, especially funds these websites with hits and drives what I call insanity, the process repeating itself to look for more dirt on Trump because they enjoy the hits and profit from ad revenue. If Trump was a good guy, where would they make their money?

Bad example. She was exposed by wikileaks as having said you need both a public and private position. So anything that comes out her mouth needs to be taken with a grain of salt because that is her "public" position.

No, I was debating with you. There is a difference.
You do know that Alabama has been hit by six category 3 hurricanes in the states history? There were also a few category 4 and 5's that got close but never actually made landfall. I only mention that because the 250 mile argument is irrelevant. The state has and can be affected by Hurricanes. Just not this one.
And therein lies your real argument. You're clearly upset that he won't apologize or admit he was wrong or whatever it is you're after.
And my argument is, who cares? Will his apology in any way make your life or life style any better? I doubt it. But Trump getting China to agree to come back to the negotiation table next month just might.
You like to call him a narcissist but I'm sure you don't have a psychology degree to even be in a position to make such a claim. I know this because everyone who is all say the same thing which is it's unethical to label or diagnose someone you have not met as a patient.
He gives his entire paycheck as president to charity. He has given out 14 pardons and commuted 5 peoples sentence including the one to Alice Marie Johnson who truly deserved a second chance. He seems to not have a problem showing empathy from where I am sitting. But I am not not a doctor and don't even play one on the internet.

Here you go: Narcissistic personality disorder (https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/narcissistic-personality-disorder/symptoms-causes/syc-20366662)
Lets go! I got all night.
Symptoms
Signs and symptoms of narcissistic personality disorder and the severity of symptoms vary. People with the disorder can:
Have an exaggerated sense of self-importance
He's president of the United States. He's about as important as it gets for the next 5.25 years as part of his job description which makes exaggeration impossible
Have a sense of entitlement and require constant, excessive admiration
He has worked for everything he has. That's not entitlement when you worked to build it. Even becoming president was something he did almost completely on his own. He had only himself, Cory, Hope and an IT guy who liked to sleep by the pool because the RNC was against him
Expect to be recognized as superior even without achievements that warrant it
He's President of the United States. That's one hell of an achievement that only 44 others have accomplished.
Exaggerate achievements and talents
Same answer as above for achievements (PotUS). He is one hell of a talented negotiator and he showed a lot of talent for television based on how well the apprentice did in ratings
Be preoccupied with fantasies about success, power, brilliance, beauty or the perfect mate
They are not fantasies when he is President and married to Malania. That's reality.
Believe they are superior and can only associate with equally special people
He was known for eating McDonalds with contactors back in his developing days. Not to mention he has never been one for the lets say Martha's Vinyard crowd.
Monopolize conversations and belittle or look down on people they perceive as inferior
Not even close. He often hands his mic over to senators, governors or people like Diamond and Silk at his rallies. And again, he will take a meeting and listen to anyone who is willing to sit down with him whether they are a celebrity on a cause or a CEO or a member of congress.
Expect special favors and unquestioning compliance with their expectations
He's a negotiator. The only thing he expects is a good deal for America. Do you go to a car dealer and ask the salesman to please sell you an overpriced car? No, you negotiate a good deal that's fair to you and to them. That's what he does for us
Take advantage of others to get what they want
Considering what he wants is to make America great, I would say this is a good one to have when you are President
Have an inability or unwillingness to recognize the needs and feelings of others
LOL, Alice Marie Johnson. Nuff said on that one.
Be envious of others and believe others envy them
I doubt he envies anyone. Hard to do that when you are PotUS and married to Malania
Behave in an arrogant or haughty manner, coming across as conceited, boastful and pretentious
This one I can't argue. But being a billionaire and now a billionaire president kind of gives you that right. No?
Insist on having the best of everything — for instance, the best car or office
He eats at McDonald's, rides in the presidential limo, flies in air-force one and uses the resolute desk. None of that is actually by choice except for McDonald's and that definitely does not qualify as the best
What else you got?

The Case of the Sharpie-Wielding Map Alterer
(https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/05/arts/television/late-night-trump-hurricane-map-sharpie.html)
At the White House on Wednesday, President Trump displayed a map of Hurricane Dorian’s potential path that someone had extended to Alabama with a black pen. Mr. Trump, who’d mistakenly tweeted Sunday that the storm might hit the state, said he didn’t know who had done it, but the late-night hosts seemed fairly certain.
"I mean, don’t get me wrong — I'm impressed that Trump can locate Alabama on a map. But still, the president of the United States just changed the map with a Sharpie to make himself look right.” — TREVOR NOAH
“Because of the fact that the president misrepresented where the water would go, I’m calling this scandal ‘Water-gate.’ Trademark.” — STEPHEN COLBERT
“It must be so easy to play poker with this guy. [As Trump:] ‘Let me just see what I’ve got here. Let me see. I don’t, I don’t know. I don’t know. I do not — I do not have three queens. I do not have — I do not have three queens. Or, if anyone has a Sharpie, I do not have four queens.’” — STEPHEN COLBERT
“I mean, after this, I have to wonder if his high school report card was legit.” — SETH MEYERS
“That’s right — he’s not even trying to hide the lies anymore. Not only do we have fake news, we now have fake weather, too. I’m hoping we get fake sports, because I want to see the Mets win the World Series.” — JIMMY KIMMEL
“But he really must think we’re a bunch of idiots. I bet he thinks, ‘Hey, they elected me president — let’s see what other dumb crap they’ll go for.’” — JIMMY KIMMEL
“According to a new poll, former Vice President Joe Biden leads President Trump by nine points in Wisconsin. And when Trump heard that, he updated the hurricane map again.” — SETH MEYERS

Not that it matters but I'm an IT guy. I have a desk in a computer room with a bunch of servers. I work four 10 hour shifts so a three day weekend every week rocks! I have a few reports I have to run and I spend about two hours processing orders for the next days workload.
That leaves maybe 7 hours of every shift where I have nothing to do but baby sit the servers and be on standby in case someone on the floor has an IT issue like thier scan gun isn't working or they can't get into their email. So I get plenty of time to kill on youtube, forums ect. It's just the nature of this job.

"Against stupidity we are defenseless. Neither protests nor the use of force accomplish anything here; reasons fall on deaf ears; facts that contradict one’s prejudgment simply need not be believed – in such moments the stupid person even becomes critical – and when facts are irrefutable they are just pushed aside as inconsequential, as incidental. In all this the stupid person, in contrast to the malicious one, is utterly self satisfied and, being easily irritated, becomes dangerous by going on the attack. For that reason, greater caution is called for when dealing with a stupid person than with a malicious one. Never again will we try to persuade the stupid person with reasons, for it is senseless and dangerous."
Dietrich Bonhoeffer
"We must make a clear distinction between belief and faith, because, in general practice, belief has come to mean a state of mind which is almost opposite of faith. Belief, as I use the word here, is the insistence that the truth is what one would "lief" or wish it to be. The believer will open his mind to the truth on the condition that it fits in with his preconceived ideas and wishes. Faith, on the other hand, is an unreserved opening of the mind to the truth, whatever it may turn out to be." ... "In this sense of the word, faith is the essential virtue of science, and likewise of any religion that is not self-deception."

There actually were weather reports of the storm hitting FL and the continued flooding to hit areas like AL. Original projections were the storm was going to cut across FL to the West. The storm changed paths and moved up the coast (pretty common with hurricanes) and someone thought it would be funny to take a marker and draw that since Trump wasn't privy to the news and was still holding strong on the storm hitting AL. He was wrong and was still reciting old info.
I find more of an issue with someone who cares so much about the intricacies of that situatio. Someone who thinks they've Sherlock Holme's that Trump is a liar and purposely lied about a storm for what? And then HE drew a path for what? Wouldn't make much sense. What makes sense is that the media finds this as a "Look how Justin Beiber eats a hot dog, he's so dumb" moment. Similar to a tirade on "look how dumb Trump is, he didn't know the path changed."
I think if you read news and you don't look at every article from adverse point of view and take it with a grain of salt, you end up like Horza. You will find yourself believing Trump purposely lied about the storm for an Ego trip. When he was wrong, he couldn't be and HE and ONLY HE brought a sharpie in and drew a path he thought was more acceptable. All while knowing it will be fact checked. Seems likely.
I think something many people have pointed out is that people mis-speak all the time. That is what we actually want in a President, someone who is real. Trump uses the wrong words sometimes just as Joe Biden mis-spoke and said "poor kids are just as bright as white kids." Do I think he's racist, no. Do I think he mis-spoke, yes.

Some say they want a person like that and understand that is part of a real person. Their every action isn't gone over for the umpteenth time to make sure its perfectly polished.
What others might see is that allowing such a thing to happen will give an excuse to someone down the line to game the system claiming "im just a person". You know, some piece of shit watching this whole thing and thinks they have found an angle.
But we also have some that want a perfect person. One that never makes a public mistake, "looks Presidential" because looks do matter more than people give credit sometimes. It doesn't matter if everything has been spit polished and all soul erased. Also something to keep in mind is that if the leader makes a mistake then he is not perfect and therefore not fit to lead. If you make a mistake then you are no better than the person watching it.
It is also controversial to admit to a mistake or to apologize. Admitting can be seen as a sign of weakness to some. Saying you are sorry puts you in a weak position to be exploited by others.. "If you really are sorry then do what I want to prove it"

It was Trump who used a black Sharpie to mark up an official National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration map, which he displayed during an Oval Office briefing on Wednesday, according to a White House official who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations.
“No one else writes like that on a map with a black Sharpie,” the official said of the map, which added Alabama into the hurricane’s potential pathway inside the loop of the marker.
Several White House officials argued that media coverage of the Alabama issue has been unfair to Trump, but one senior administration official said that “as long as it’s in the news, he is not going to drop it.”

Tim O’Brien, a Trump biographer and executive editor of Bloomberg Opinion, said the Alabama claims underscore the president’s belief that admitting error is a sign of weakness.
“He’s doubling down on the worst sides of his troubled personality — to never admit an error and to continue obsessing about it, and emphasizing it, when it doesn’t serve him well to do so,” he said. “He doesn’t move along because he is incapable of moving along.”

“No one else writes like that on a map with a black Sharpie,”-- who the fuck talks like that. And who was it or is it another case of them consulting their janitorial staff and calling them sources like the every-day-another-fake-Russia-story?
There was a story(ad) that he has a custom Sharpie, gold though. Good brand exposure, this controversy.

Climatologists and meteorologists are two types of atmospheric scientists who study weather patterns and their effects on humans and the environment. A key difference relates to time horizons. Meteorologists focus more on short-term weather conditions while climatologists are more interested in long-term climate conditions.
A key difference between meteorologists and climatologists lies in the time perspectives they bring to the study of weather and climate. Meteorologists produce forecasts that are intended to predict weather conditions over the short term, often a horizon no longer than 7 to 10 days. Climatologists, meanwhile, employ a long-term perspective, developing and analyzing models that are designed to predict changes in weather patterns in the months and years to come. A meteorologist will predict whether it will rain in the next day or two, but a climatologist will predict whether climate patterns will result in more rainfall on average in the years to come. I find more of an issue with someone who cares so much about the intricacies of that situatio. Someone who thinks they've Sherlock Holme's that Trump is a liar and purposely lied about a storm for what? And then HE drew a path for what? Wouldn't make much sense.
yeah its clearly an irrational thing to do. that doesnt mean it didnt happen.
dont you think its a little bit concerning that to avoid correcting himself he went to the trouble of having someone doctor a map to match what he said? he would literally rather change the facts to match what he said than admit he said something incorrect. yes the whole thing is asinine but thats some seriously mentally ill behavior, and i find it difficult to take seriously anyone that cant just admit that its weird at the very least.

Why President Trump’s Sharpied weather map was likely a crime — and should be. (https://beta.washingtonpost.com/outlook/2019/09/06/why-president-trumps-sharpied-weather-map-was-likely-crime-should-be/)
In 1903, a top Weather Bureau official warned that false weather forecasts would cause both “public injury and discredit to the Weather Bureau,” which could lead Americans to ignore crucially important — even lifesaving — information. These dangers compelled Congress to pass the law making counterfeit forecasts illegal.
The new law made it possible for the Weather Bureau to target opportunists and hucksters. It also gave officials the tools to try to suppress weather-related advertising in the early days of modern consumer culture. Companies that sold weather-related products ran afoul of government weather officials when they modified official storm warnings in their advertisements or just invented forecasts to help them market their products.

18 U.S. Code § 2074. False weather reports
Whoever knowingly issues or publishes any counterfeit weather forecast or warning of weather conditions falsely representing such forecast or warning to have been issued or published by the Weather Bureau, United States Signal Service, or other branch of the Government service, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ninety days, or both.
(June 25, 1948, ch. 645, 62 Stat. 795; Pub. L. 103–322, title XXXIII, § 330016(1)(G), Sept. 13, 1994, 108 Stat. 2147.)
It's okay for a politician to just break whichever laws he or she so chooses with impunity, right?

Open and shut case boys. It was drawn there, fine all monies and status awarded for false reports about which way the water was going. I think there was no monies or status awarded and the offers were turned down. Shame such an experienced populace with knowledge of weather law took nine years to figure out the water wasn't going that way despite deep pushes for it to.
Remove from office.

'He's losing his s---': Trump's advisers are increasingly worried about his mental state following days of erratic behaviour. (https://www.businessinsider.com.au/trump-aides-worried-about-mental-state-alabama-hurricane-dorian-2019-9)
The president’s advisers are particularly worried about his stubborn refusal to acknowledge that a tweet he sent over the weekend claiming that Alabama was going to be hit by Hurricane Dorian was false. They believe that his frustration is compounded by stress about the 2020 election and the economy’s recent downturn.
“People are used to the president saying things that aren’t true, but this Alabama stuff is another story,” the former official said. “This was the president sending out patently false information about a national-emergency situation as it was unfolding.”

A NOAA meteorologist who spoke on the condition of anonymity for fear of retribution said the note, understood internally to be referring to Trump, came after the National Weather Service office in Birmingham contradicted Trump by tweeting Alabama would “NOT see any impacts from the hurricane.” The Birmingham office sent the tweet after receiving a flurry of phone calls from concerned residents following Trump’s message.
“This is the first time I’ve felt pressure from above to not say what truly is the forecast,” the meteorologist said. “It’s hard for me to wrap my head around. One of the things we train on is to dispel inaccurate rumors and ultimately that is what was occurring — ultimately what the Alabama office did is provide a forecast with their tweet, that is what they get paid to do.”
