I think the Chinese roughly have a proportion of 300 million "people that matter" in their society at best, probably less. The only difference is they don't outsource their slavery. Those are the only people who actually matter in a global geopolitical sense, and that's partly why we aren't being over-run right now, because they have 4 billion minions keeping them really well fed and cared for.

By the way the new Chinese Disneyland really blows anything we have in the states out of the water. It's quite clear who has more money and time for fun silly cool shit.

That doesn't really go far enough. Male children must be severely punished for being bad at whatever game (or better yet whatever productive, survival related, task with really severe consequences for failure, like physical injury and trauma or death) it is they fail to compete adequately at. They have to learn were they measure up to other males and what that means for their entire lives, station, and class.

They also have to learn to understand physical pain and trauma because their lives will be full of it otherwise.

This is the only way to make them obedient to the alphas and to teach them a healthy respect for limits and their own bodies.

They should of course be given as much education and preparation for these trials as we can. It should be on them, whether they listen and learn or adapt. They shouldn't be thrown into it blindly. If they are given the tools to succeed and they fail, others will see this and understand. Rather than blaming the system. Or the test itself. Their efforts shouldn't be wasted, they should go towards providing something that can be looked back on and remembered.

There's a lot to be said for human companionship and interaction that's just normal every day things. Even sharing the same space where we clean up after each-other or cook for someone or with someone.

I think this is what happens to people who code.

soon people will not own cars because networked software-driven Uber-type piecemeal transit systems will dominate. software-driven vehicles will be vastly more efficient, both in terms of amplifying the throughput of existing highway infrastructure and in terms of fuel usage. the cost to the consumer for transportation will be dramatically reduced. death by automobile will drop in frequency. What's the best economic system in video games history? Are all civ games free market?

I think free market systems are organic. You can see it to some degree even in black markets, but eventually those become more prone to monopoly which is a form of socialism by the owner class imo.

I like sci-fi games and I always play an alien oppressive race without much of a market culture. All resources are channeled by an extreme theocracy, military industrial complex, or AI or hive mentality towards the goal of complete dominion.

One exception is the Ameoba in endless space which can dominate all galactic economies through just a few systems. In this case diversity is actually beneficial and the amoeba act like an interface and management layer for everyone disparate culture and economy.

God that sounds awful. Absolutely not. I stayed up a little bit later than usual because i was reconnecting with an old friend and I am definitely feeling the raw edge of sleep loss. (7 hours instead of 8).

If I have a hangover there's really no point in me showing up to work. All my tasks are complex systems problem solving, mass communications, or business relation politics so it's better if I just rest at home.

(this is why I don't drink during the week and only a little on some weekends)

Literally all my predecessors except mom smoked. I started early and smoked til I was 22. Then I wised up.

The way I quit was by stopping cigarette smoking while sober. I had to avoid coffee with people for a long time and other social queues, like after class chatting. I still allowed myself to smoke while drinking which I did a lot back then. But drinking is terrible so I slowed that down and finally broke the addiction back in 2015.

I only smoke when I'm traveling in a shit hole country, or if performing a legendary feat of sleep less travel and I need nicotine to stay awake.

Officer is actually fairly easy if you know the basics upfront. You either graduate from military school or join a sign up program that pays for your college and trains you before you ship out to officer candidate school.

You can actually be up to 32 these days. But the younger the better. You can even go to the OCS school after a regular college education if you pass an app process.

But that's what separates the soldiers from the officers. A college degree and some common sense about whether to enlist as a peon or join as an officer.

They cherry-pick out of context quotes or themes of his university lectures and then try to paint him as absurd. Recently, they really go after his lectures on symbols (such as in poke's shitpost), especially when he talks about the mythic story structure of order/universe masculine/feminine paradigms set forth by numerous religions and cultural symbols. It's a framework to make the reader ridicule Peterson at the start of the article, based wholly out of the author's own ignorance and/or unwillingness to consider the topic.

I've seen a few articles recently that started off, "I haven't paid attention to Peterson until I read the NY Times hit piece, and now I can tell you this guy is a piece of shit!"
