In the righteous mind, lefty jonathan haidt, did admit that the right has a much more multifaceted sense of morality than the left, which elevates the "fairness" morality above the other 5. He did completely forget to mention the moral virtue, prudence, in his entire discourse though, so i was a little disappointed in that read.

Prudence, of course, being the "fulcrum" by which a morality is tempered. I.e "bravery" is both "courage" and "foolhardiness" if not tempered by prudence.

It didnt surprise me though. I think the complete failure of the left to grasp the concept of prudence is precisely why they come off as overbearing, and intrusive.

That, and of course, the disproportionate weight they apply to the "fairness" virtue. But then we're circling back to prudence, because the disproportionately, itself, is proof of the lack of understanding surrounding the prudence virtue.

They can just demand you pay for your own training somewhere else, get a house* in the city you need to be in, get a car, and then apply for a job you have already been doing for a few years.

In 2014, after putting in 10 years of "duty" to my manipulative "polyamorous" wife (to put it lightly), i finished up the last year of college sleeping in a tent and showering in the campus gym daily (on loans that i am not delinquent on). I then proceeded to couch surf while working a minimum wage job for 6 months to buy a car.

Then i moved back to san jose, went 24/7 blitzkrieg on the job hunt, targetting companies i intended to work for and solicited them instead of waiting on a job posting. The job i ended up taking interviewed me on day 3 of being in town. I began working on day 5. I slept in my car and picked up a gym membership, where i continued to maintain appearances for the next 6 months before paying off all of the joint debts on my credit history so that i was rent-to-able.

In the meanwhile, my "wife" moved in with her "husband", who, it turns out, she was married to since they eloped at the age of 18, which she never thought important to tell me prior to exchanging vows bigamously.

Child support was paid the entire time. When they broke up about 18 months ago, and my ex moved back to CA, i took her to court and sued her for regular visitation.

I did not complain aboit any of this the entire time it was transpiring. In fact, i was just happy to be rid of her trifling ways. To get back to center, i pulled myself up by my own bootstraps from a position that you could not even imagine being in, child.
