I have a level 14 mage, finally saved up some pp for Wu 2h stick for my level 1 Iksar monk. How can I trade him the item?

I have a level 5 monk that I will mule it to you with... #notmakingeyecontact #probablytryingtostealyourstuff
If you are around GFay, I would mule it for you.

Typically you want to find someone high level in a raiding guild who is sitting in EC and send them a tell.
Although I've had cheaper stuff transferred by my bros in Dial a Port and never had any issues.

Interesting, I'll have to ask around then. Also, I see a lot of guides that say 1-9 FoB for monk and 12-18 kurns. But what about 9-12? I was thinking of just leveling 1-12 at EC then heading to Kurns for 12-18
You could always drop a bag. classic way is always best.

Drop bag on ground and camp and pick up other character.
Be careful about lore items. Items will disappear off ground and I had a bag pop in front of me with 2 jade velium rings, chetari staff, loam pants, and some lore item I don't remember I already had banked on my other guy.
You have 3 to 4 minutes.

I dropped a bag. Find a nice hidden spot behind a tree or something. Use /loc to verify location and pray to your deity that your computer doesn't crash.
Gives you a nice gamblers thrill and doesn't rely on people being trustworthy.

I like this bag drop idea lol. It cracks me up too. Is it hard for an Iskar to get a lift to EC??

For items totaling 10k or less I have literally never once talked to a person who had a bad experience doing a transfer with a level 60 in a raiding guild. Nobody at that level is going to risk a ban for stealing your bag of items each worth several hundred pp. Never trust a level one unguilded character, and throwing your items on the ground is unnecessary risk. Just pick a level 60 in a raiding guild and you cant go wrong.

Hang out around Iksar city, wait until you see a level 60 going to town, and ask them to help you with a small transfer. Considering you are only transferring very low level items I would trust anyone over level 46 with a guild tag. There's no reason to travel to EC for this. People are generally nice and trustworthy here.

I drop transfer 99% of the time. No losses yet ever 99-present even with the logout bug.

Bag drop, switch toons, pick up bag. Plenty of oddball places to do that, but if you're in EC and it seems overpopulated, zone over to Nek Forest and do it there.

This is what I do, find a secluded spot in a town, put both toons there, drop a bag, log out, swap toons, login, pickup bag.
Did this in classic as well.

Does it need to be in a bag? I tried testing this by dropping a short beer and swapping toons. Of course game crashed logging out, but when I got logged back in on the other toon (at same location), the item was gone. It was easily less than 4-5 minutes.

If i remember right, you could also drop coin in classic (for a while).
I assume you can't drop coin on p1999 to prevent abuse - but what are some ways to xfer platinum (solo) between characters?
Sure, you can buy some expensive gems and drop them in bags - but you lose money in the deal when you pay retail price and sell wholesale price.

1. Trust a stranger on the Internet, who may or may not also charge a fee.
2. Buy/sell gems, as you said, and consider the lost money an "insurance" or "transfer" fee.
Dropped items last 5 minutes.
Actually, it's more like 2 minutes 30 seconds...or maybe 3 minutes...somewhere around there.
It's generally better to find a high level with a guild tag (a bigger guild) if you don't have any trustworthy friends. Even better if they're an officer of the guild. You can check their rank by targeting them and typing /guildstatus :) It'll work on anon folks too, but I wouldn't ask someone anon to transfer since they're either trying to hide from their guild or they don't want to be bothered because of their tag.

Ground drops are the equivalent to driving without a seatbelt

Why would you tell me I'm wrong if you're just going to guess a time?

Getting a lift from Kunark to EC is not hard, it just may take a little bit of time unless you have a porter that is in the area. If not, you may have to consider paying them a little bit extra (which I suggest) to come fetch you from wherever you are. Also, if you get ported into WC, you want to make sure you get invis, see invis, and SOW before you port out. Otherwise, Ceel Moonraper and her druid friend will face punch you to death the instant you port into the WC zone. Not fun.
