Audio Triggers

So I see some really old threads on this topic, but I was interested in getting a fresh response.

Audio Triggers are not classic, and therefore are disabled.

However, everyone is encouraged to download GINA, a third party program in order to essentially re-enable this disabled feature.

So my question is: How hard would it be to simply enable audio triggers on the server?

If it is a huge pain then I understand, but I am not a fan of running extra programs in the background, and frankly I like the simplicity of the EQ version.
