So what's your experience? Asking because I've been camping it now for a full straight 12 hours, and no spawn. Wondering if I'm perhaps a tad bit unlucky or if this is normal. I'm camping the static spawn close to sister island, with the pirate, ogre and cyclops PHs.

If you don't have jboots yet, there is still time...

...to escape.

When an AC spawns it is likely that another will spawn soon after, and sometimes again after that. Between the spawns there are huge gaps.

Pretty sure it's 100% random Naethyn, though I too have seen many times where 12-16 hours of nothing and then 3 AC's in next 2 hours, but that's the power of RNG. I think average time is like 6 hours.

I once got like a 20 hour dry spell before I gave up...it stinks, it is the king of "JUST ONE MORE PH" camps.

I've looted over a hundred Ring of the Ancients in OOT on blue, it's completely random.

I've seen 5 sequential AC's and I've waited 20 hours before getting one, the trick is consistency.

If you show up and wait your turn and then wait until you get your ring, you are guaranteed to get it.
If you do the camp for 2 hours at a time, you are very unlikely to get one in a reasonable amount of sessions.

I've done it twice, both times i got the camp within 2 hours, and an AC in less than 4 hours.
That said, i spent 8 hours at grachnist with no Earring.

TBH I thought I was gonna wake up this morning and you still be there! I kept checking in on you on yesterday with my Wizard and it seemed you would be there forever Good job!

something about the short time spawn timer messes with my head...i can commit to 1 more ph without much marginal cost...

Id say as someone who's sold about 6 or 7 AC rings, Id say average is about 4 hours. I personally wont spend more than 4 or 5 hours at the camp. Just try again another day.

Forget OOT... Hit SRO for a real challenge of getting AC to pop and win the kill...

I've had it after 2 spawns and I've quit at 12 hours or so before... its the perfect RNG example of EQ :p

When Holgresh Elder Beads dropped I did a 16 hour camp of it before getting the drop. It was terrible, because you have to keep the entire cave cleared forever, and the respawns are pretty fast, there's no time for afks longer than about a minute (died there once on a pee break, had to get someone to help me break back in to the cave)

In the end I got a 100k+ item so totally worth the time put in.
