View Full Version : Trying to push from 35 to 50 ASAP.

I know there's a million threads like this, but I'm looking for an idea that maybe hasn't been posted yet? Repetitive yes, but I appreciate any advice, as I haven't been under level 60 in many many years.

I am 35 right now and looking to get to 46-50 ASAP. LGuk is camped to all fuck and seems hard to get a group @ 35. SolB isn't an option till ~40+? Mistmoore is probably the best bet ATM if I can get a group inside the castle (which is perma camped by 50's).

-I've heard Duo in unrest basement with a sham? Anyone ever done this?
-Cazicthule was painfully slow @ 35 (~7-10 kills per 1% xp)
-Tried solo'ing guards in HKeep for ~1% per kill, but faction mixed with no invis is brutal and dangerous.
-Solo Lguk dead zone in?? Tried live side, too many shamans/rough pulls

Any monks out there find a place to grind through these levels quickly and effectively?

You can hunt in solb at level 35.

Phisting, you can join me and my brother for some power xping in Sol A. 2 Monks + Shaman should be pretty solid.

Get a shit ton of bandages and head to raster camp. You're gonna need him for robe of lost circle anyway and the camp is usually open, atleast it was when i was working on it. It's a good way to work on your split pulling as well.

You might be able to squeeze out some levels @ King area in Sol A as well.

Love yall. I'm trying to get my hands on a Dagger of Marnek and Zaharn's Coronet and then I'm gold to start ROTLC.

I'll try sol A gnomes or Raster camp (gotta do my homework a bit on this one). Hope I don't fall into that fucking lava again.

You can probably handle window or royals in SolB at 35. Definitely window if you have a SoW'er and take the effort to keep it refreshed for those long pulls.

Judges in Paw might still be pretty good too.

if you can bring a solid group of people who you can trust then deep paw is probably the best exp out of all the zones suggested.

Partly this is because the zone exp modifier is high but also because you can chain pull at will and rarely have to worry about other groups.

Rush because of Kunark. Duh

And Raster is too high for me @ 35 to hold down solo. I will try slaying gnomes.

best way to level is to get into a grp in solb and keep it going FOREVER. since it might take you several hours to get into a grp (rlly depends on play time and class) don't leave until the grp splits up and keep it going with replacements as long as possible.

it isn't fun or even challenging, but you can push through to 50 easily within a couple weeks if you have the playtime.

Don't go to SolB unless you have a ton of time or play during offtimes. It is so crowded in there that exp is terrible.

Clockworks are probably too high for you at 35. The C's are 28-30, the M's are 30-32 and the X's are 32-34. If you can get a healer partner they'd be good. If you're killing the clockworks on the EXG's roaming path coming from the goblin area there are pulls of 2, then 1, then 1(gnome miner), then 2(caster gnomes WATCH OUT!), then 2 in front of the castle. There's also the EXG/spider ph. All of this on a 24 min timer.

At 35 the goblin bar is easier and still db, although you'll have to deal with the goblin shamans and wizards.

Paw is very good experience if you bring a group and have someone to interrupt casters. There's a ton of casters. But its really good exp even up to low 40s.

And there is no place to gain any experience between 35 and 50 in Kunark?

Im pretty sure the only ZEM in the game are newbie zones and Sol A.

From the FAQ thread:

Are there exp bonuses for certain dungeons?
Yes. SolA used to be the only dungeon with a bonus until November 15th 2010 patch, at which point SolA bonus remained the same, but a ton of other dungeons got boosted. To see the official GM response, click here (http://www.project1999.org/forums/showpost.php?p=3289&postcount=23). To see a list of zones and their exp modifiers, click here (http://www.project1999.org/forums/showpost.php?p=3977&postcount=42). Disclaimer: that list is a "best guess" based on the values found on the PEQ server.

Definitely seems to be ZEMs, as to their real values don't know. I can definitely tell a difference from same level Gnolls in SK and Paw, also from GFay and CB orcs. Im pretty sure lots of zones have them.

Kedge. Easily.

fastboy21
02-09-2011, 02:25 AM
if the guy is asking where to level chances are he can't exp in kedge or paw...

both of those places are great dungeons that are highly undercrowded, but if you don't play a solo class or come with a pre-made grp of friends you can't exp there. odds are, if he is asking the question in the first place, that he doesn't have 6 friends to perma-grp in kedge with.

straight up, vanilla eq grind...do sol-b. it takes forever to get a grp, and is boring. but thats the path for someone who can't solo and doesn't have resources to grp in less populated places like kedge and paw.

go find a healer and duo the railroad goblins in hhk, can get to 45+

and what about spectres or seafuries, bring a healer friend.

There are camps in Kedge that can easily be done with 2 people or 1 competant person.

Find a lonely mage looking for a friend, become that friend, and let him plvl you all day every day because he has nothing better to do :)

kedge is best hands down. But like Hobby said, you need help.

Other then that ask a caster at seafuries if u can soak exp, most r maxed 50 anyway.

Versus, I duoed with a cleric from 34-50. Did so in less that 2 weeks light casual after work playing. We poopsocked 44-46 in an afternoon, yes thats one yellow of 44, all of level 45 and 2 yellows in to 46 from 11:30 AM EST to 6:30 PM EST.

Our secret? 34-38 Crocs in CT blue pool, hallway, green pool. Need to shift to green pool once blue sucks. Always make sure you are getting dark blue crocs. At 37 some can even be light blue in green but its still worth staying until 38. We did 39 at archon temple in ct. And 40-48 at specs in feerot killing 3-7. Now for Ct I had the luxury of being a mage and duoing with a cleric, pacify and pulling was key. We were 50 in about 15 days played and we jacked around a lot too in the beginning.

Find a mage, get DS, get summoned bags and loot up fine steel and at specs loot gems and scythes only. Dont get topaz, amber, pearls. Scyths sell for 11 plat and some gems are that and more. We probably made about 6 grand at specs the whole time we were there just by selling the loot.

Finally we did 49-50 in kedge on second floor pulling all the crap there including the 2 piranahs at the bottom of the well and the 2 sharks in bubbles room. We also could have done seahorse cave at 49 since we are doing it at 50 and no spell changes at 50.

Now this is a post! First of all just wanna thank you guys for putting your .02 into the thread. I began playing JUST before Kunark, so it was like....Chessboard in butcherblock, Crushbone...Lake of Ill Omen~

Tovin posted in this thread about teaming up to Trio SolA. Did that last night and crushed about 45% of 35 in 2-3 hours. Going to try to find a mid-30's shaman/cleric partner and do some duo-ing of this tonight.

This is the second time I've heard about the crocs in CT, so there must be something to it. I just need to find a sham/cleric to hook up with and hopefully we'll start flying.

as a 35 cleric should be easy enough to find a mage or monk to team up.

Always looking for another sham/cleric to Duo with. Apparently CT crocs are popular, as are Specs in Feerott obviously.

Either way, I'm out of 35 and ready to rock. /t phisting

I must have talked too much lol everytime we went to crocs they were open. Remember there is the blue pool and green pool and the hallway between. When someone says crocs in a CC try to get specifics. Plus there are crocs on the way to the sewers and in the sewers. The ones in the sewers are mixed with lizard zealots, judicators, jsuticar's, and crusaders.

Also pool camps, unless you're pulling out of water, requires some form of enduring breath.

CT is a rough place to level casually on lizards. Paladins/Clerics = bitches.

The fastest way to level is(in my opinion):

1-10 - Wherever you want
10-20+(mid 30s to basement) - Wherever you want, but I suggest Unrest. It's $$. HHK second place. It's great with one group and no douchebag camp stealers.
20-40+ SolA, various places ending with Gnomes. Splitpaw, past the bugged bridge/overpass. (EXE area it's called?)
40-50 - Kedge, as much as I fucking hate that place and its bugs. SolB if it's late at night and undercamped.

Stay away from Lguk not worth the risk vs. reward for leveling. (good for farming)
Stay away from Mistmoore castle, it's bugged to high shit.

Right but seriously, if you have a luller, and some form of eb, crocs are amazing no trains to deal with either. a cleric can start to cast a stun when mob it at 40% if you do get a lizard, stops the healage. in the pools only lizard you deal with (optional) is the steel golem ph

Versus
02-10-2011, 12:12 PM
As far as CT goes, I will ONLY go there for Crocs. The lizards are just plain shit for xp, IMO. I will have to "/ all cazicthule" and ask for a camp check before making that hike. I've made a cleric friend and a shammy friend now, so I have options.

SolA will still probably be decent with a 35~ sham or cleric. Probably until 38ish. I am unfamiliar with Paw but it sounds as though I should get acclimated. Hearing something about a snake camp that would be decent duo with a 7min respawn.

I'm going to defend Mistmoore though. I went from 22-33 there easy as pie. As a monk you can solo @ entrance easy enough and was 2-3% per kill. Mend/Zone/Fight/Mend. Moved to GY and that was meh until I could get castle entrance groups on the regular. This spot is killer if you can find a good group of people. Met a guy there that plays a Bard like no one I've seen before. If you can deal with the trains, risk it.
