Make the most overpowered fantasy caster possible!
Rules
1) Pick any (WIS) or (INT) priest or caster Race + Class, and include how you would allocate the 30 bonus starting stat points.
2) Pick 8 spells from Any of the (WIS) or (INT) classes, this is not tied to rule 1 - regardless of your race + class starting stats base you may pick and choose 8 spells from both (WIS) or (INT) casters *Up to Velious* [Assume this character only exists at level 60, you don't have to level it up, also no bard songs]
3) Pick 1 (WIS) or (INT) Epic
4) Basic EQ mechanics still apply you can only have 1 pet out at any time, be it a charm or summon, any self buffs must be within your 8 spells thus always on your bar, Slot 1 Still acts as it normally would for gem refresh with clickies - Assuming No Class only clickies outside of Epic choice, Any clicky accessible by ALL classes still applies (Levi cloak, Wort pots, Ring of Shadows, Etc Etc)
That simple race and class base stats, No spell swapping, just 8 spells and your (wis or int) caster epic of choice!
Be sure to Describe your picks and reasoning, I'm curious what others will think or come up with there are plenty of EQ pro's on P99 perhaps they will think of something I did not.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My Picks
Race: High Elf / Enchanter / 5STA 25CHA - Puts you at 115 starting CHA needing 140 from gear to reach cap, Rest to focus on as much as +hp and +mana as possible
1) **Click slot**: Cannibalize IV (Mana sustain)
2) Complete Healing (Raid/Group viability button + Charm synergy)
3) Tugur's Insects (Raid/Group viability + Charm synergy)
4) Boltran's Agaceire (Charm for soloing)
5) Fetter (CC + Charm synergy)
6) Mesmerization (Charm break stopper, Not enuff slots for color line, Great in groups)
7) Ensnare (Aggro kite abuse , Helps manage Non-Summon charms, Makes you nigh un-killable in outdoor zones, Combo with Fear for Free Non Fear Immune Kills)
8) Invoke Fear (Combo with Ensnare and Charm pet for free kills on anything Not immune to fear)
Epic - Enchanter (Staff of the Shissar) Charm Pet Haste + Group / Raid Haste
Raids - #1 and #2, CH rotation as well as use canni IV on yourself for additional sustain. Focusing on a charm build means your next to useless in raids thus picked Complete healing instead of Torpor due to several advantages combined together, Raiding viability, group viability, synergy with charm pets as well as synergy with Canni IV and high end gear. Can also slow tough mobs for increased viability over a cleric, while also provide haste to your allies with Epic of choice (Staff of Shissar)
Groups- Same as Raiding, but also can get a charm pet to lay down a beating, CC with Fetter, Ensnare, AE Mez
Solo - May have some difficulty without Tash / Malosini against higher charms as well as not having the color line, Charm break at a wrong time while Canni'ing for mana could spell nigh instant death against pets with summon - Ensnare can help curb this in areas you have a little room to move around. However provided your spells stick have all the mechanics except lull (Calm) at your disposal, Ensnare + Fear and charm will destroy anything not immune to fear with ease, Charm + Slow/Haste + Complete Heal will destroy pretty much anything a ENC/CLR could (just more risky with no stuns or Rune's)
End thoughts-- Possibly could ditch Boltran's for Allure due to not having debuffs, but I'm thinking without Runes and the Color Line the faster cast on Boltran's might be a lot more crucial than the reduced mana cost of Allure. Complete heal rather than Torpor In my thoughts makes this build a lot more viable for raids, but makes it lack any quick form of healing / health recovery when soloing, If the build was just to be solo champion and not overall OP I think Torpor would probably be better as you cant really emergency heal yourself with CH but Torpor can get you thru a break and is still crazy efficient mana wise. You could go full blown self contained charm unit and ditch Ensnare / Invoke Fear for Tash and Malosini, which would be good for raids and solo, But I think the added CC ab-usable synergy with Invoke Fear out of the two adds a lot in terms of how you can approach situations rather than completely limiting you to just Charm - Heal and Slow/Haste. Kind of a toss up but I think Ensnare and Invoke Fear is more Interesting so I choose it instead of the Debuffs. Fetter supports charm and is great CC for parking melee mobs Possibly not needed but the lack of Single target mez as well as areas of the game where space is tight would make me want to be able to Root'N'Scoot
Obviously this is just for fun, but feel free to neckbeard it up and have some fun see if you can come up with the most ridiculous 8spell + 1epic Caster build.
