I've searched and don't see another topic, is there a way to play the Tutorial? I'm not sure what happened to my post, from yesterday. It said, needed to be approved by a moderator (maybe because it was my first post?) but never appeared. Oddly, I wasn't limited from entering the the server, playing the game and chatting in the open channels. So I'm not sure why posts are being edited/monitored. I don't see a better forum to post it in, nor do I see a section to report/request forum/website issues.

Once again, the VO during Character Creation and the Popup talks about the Tutorial, but I'm not sure if I'm doing something incorrectly. Asking for help here, in the forums made to help.

Thanks

I think i remember playing it way back in 2000. You met someone (a dwarf or gnome not sure) and he let you do the basics to get the game controls down. Or i can be wrong. It may have been EQ2. But im pretty sure that tutorial was more immersive.

You already made this thread. Here's a link in case you misplaced it.

Right, you read the title but not the post maybe? It states I didn't see my post after more than 24 hours and had guessed it was deleted for some unknown reason. Since it normally doesn't take that long for posts to appear in forums. I also mentioned, I wasn't restricted from logging into the game, nor posting in chat. So, afaik it wasn't something I did.

Hence the repost. Hopefully this explains it in more detail for you and will allay all your concerns?

Btw your post in this thread was just as helpful as your post in the other thread.

From what I can tell, the oldschool tutorial is not present in the titanium client. =(

Wow, thanks for that Aaezil ! :)

Think your correct GinnasP99, seems it was something that didn't get added back in.

Tupakk, we don't seem to understand each other or maybe you intended to post in some other thread. Playing in the game actually has nothing to do with, wanting to playing the tutorial.

If you create a separate install from classic/kunark/velious discs the tutorial will probably work (tutorial.exe).

At some point the game files changed so much that tutorial.exe was no longer compatible. I don't know exactly when this, maybe even install discs as late as SoL or beyond may work if you are lucky.

Thanks for the tip, sounds like a good way to do it.

If you're interested in watching other people play, which can serve as a tutorial - particularly as he remakes characters frequently, you might find SuperBitsAndBob's videos on YouTube enjoyable.

Thanks Beckoning, but I'm not interested in the Tutorial to learn how to play. I'm interested in the original EQ for nostalgia reasons and the original had a Tutorial. I played the Tutorial back in 1999, because back then I DID need a tutorial. ;)

I don't mind watching youtubes but usually only when I'm stuck or watching because I can't play it, i.e. a console game. I watched 'The Last of Us' on youtube, since I only play PC games. Someone had put together essentially a 6 hour movie of the game.
