I get the feeling you're looking for melee style weapon but since you didn't say that. I encourage you to move to root rotting. Jade Prod will get the job done till epic.

+1 to GFG. Although I never had a PWC, i got a face grinder at 45 and have enjoyed it. I was also root rotting since 24, so it was a nice change of pace.

I recently picked up a Withered Totem. If you're a large race I suggest checking it out. Nice for an occasional proc when root breaks.

Granite Face Grinder if you like to melee. Can do real dps all the way to 50 with GFG. I used it until I got epic. JBB is also extremely helpful and remains helpful at lvl 60 as well

The ratio difference between the PWC and GFG is almost non existent. No reason to upgrade unless you are high enough level that the PWC starts proccing.

With a slower weapon you can cast between swings without as much DPS loss. Also less riposte dmg taken. If that matters.
