Paladins really have NO offense. DUH. What I was wondering is, do they have access to following spells:

Instrument of Nife (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/spell.html?spell=2583)
Divine Might (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/spell.html?spell=693)
Valor of Marr (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/spell.html?spell=2585)

I like paladins conceptually and I realize that HoT's which were very nice for them were not until Luclin, but what about the above spells?

Thank you for the raw data, which I was afraid of. I understand the devotion to classic game play representation. I can just envision myself in OS with a worn shai'din naganata with no procs, a single awful hot, and no haste and it just makes me cringe.

Paladins don't need procs to hold agro.
Your job is to be a meat shield, let the rest of the group worry about the DPS.

Paladins are still awesome at soloing undead and can manage on lower blue con mobs.

They are awesome at soloing guk era undead atm with ghoulbane, but when kunark releases they will be worse. SK get the same ward undead spell 1 level later (54PAL 55SK). With the taps and vampiric dots + pet SK's will undoubtedly be better.

Paladins are strictly kings for classic no expansion. I'm just trying to plan. :)

I do appreciate the raw data though.

Divine purpose is in game?

No, but it will at some point during the Velious era...Chicanery's info was everything on the server - including the future.

Paladins have always been favored pretty well by EQ devs. They get some of the best weapons and armor. I've seen raid gear paladins rank pretty high on the DPS list. Being a new pally might suck till you get a good weapon, but once you get one, you'll do plenty of damage (for a tank anyway).

Paladin isn't a dps class, even undead you're relying on procs mostly. They are a good utility class though, with spot/downtime healing, luls which work way better then they should, stuns and blind to hold agro, root CC etcetc.
