A Server-Wide Alliance

The goal of the server wide alliance would be to remain in our individual guilds, but to coordinate a concentrated effort to challenge the A/A monopoly.

What I am proposing is a mega alliance (PUG) using a central hub guild called <Doljonijiarnimorinar>.


There will be no requirements to join the effort. Clerics, mages, and trackers from each respective guild will be paramount to our success. A central forum where players can gain access to cleric bots, mage bots, or tracker bots will provide reliable resources and efficiency.

I am currently leveling up 5 mages for this alliance, and help will be needed to finish getting them 55+. Some guilds that have pledged to the alliance have already begun leveling their own mages. These characters will be usable by all members on Twitter and the Forums (TBA).

A completely optional bat phone will be used by following the twitter handle @Trackguild1999. This will provide players a chance to join the fight as they wish. There are options within Twitter to only receive mass texts when YOU want to. If you only want to receive texts on weekends, you can set this option. It is completely user friendly. If 20% of each guild joins this, we'll have the foundation we need to compete.

However, it will be required to sign up to twitter and the forums in order to receive attendance points. It will not be required to turn on mobile notifications, but this will be highly recommended. We have a Discord voice-chat that will be used for raiding, and we will be sending out the information to this Discord via Twitter in the coming days.

The main targets in question will be, but not limited to:

King Tormax
The Statue of Rallos Zek
Zlandicar
The Avatar of War
Dain Frostreaver IV
Sleeper Tomb golems (primals)
Temple of Veeshan

But first, I'd like to discuss the main targets rotated between A/A and they are: King Tormax, Dain Frostreaver IV, Zlandicar, and ST Golems. Currently A/A are rotating these targets amongst themselves, but there is great opportunity here. Awakened and Aftermath are struggling to field numbers this far into Velious, and thus are colluding with one another to ensure the Status Quo.

Dain Frostreaver IV & King Tormax & The Statue of Rallos Zek (Statue is not rotated, but stays up several hours on most occasions)


How will we do it? Clerics, and lots of them. Having clerics camped out in ThurgB and Kael for these encounters will determine our success. Both targets can be engaged with very low numbers if a few tanks, a handful of rogues, a mage, and a bunch of clerics are properly parked. We will need to gather our resources on Clerics and Rogues. Mages will be needed for King Tormax & Statue FTE, and to summon tanks during the Dain battle. We will also be awarding points for Taggers for these targets.

Zlandicar

This encounter takes a little practice, but can be engaged with under 35 and a handful of pre parked clerics and good composition. This is a consumable fight and Magic resist fight. Having proper consumables and as much Magic Resists as possible is the name of the game here. 150 unbuffed MR is the goal, but not 100% necessary unless you are a tank or melee DPS. All players will need Soulfires, Reapers, and Wort pots. Monks popping traps inside the rat tunnel, and moving to the pull spot quickly for a fast engage is key.

Sleepers Tomb golems

This will be a challenge, but of great importance. Securing ST golems for Primals will be an important strategic battle for us, and how we do it will determine everything. Currently, A/A wait until all Golems have popped before they go to ST. This will likely change once we begin to challenge them. YOLO monk FTE and cleric bots is basically how this needs to be done. Having an active tracker (who bat phones immediately), and a FTE YOLO monk who is prepared to run from zone in to engage and drag Master of the Guard or Prog to zone in, is what this will come down to. Engages happening with around 10-15 people will become the norm.

Temple of Veeshan

All active strategies for Temple of Veeshan will be subject to change depending on availability, Dozekar the Cursed & Eashan of the Sky will be COTH and TAG battles and most of our concentrated effort will take place here. We will be watching this zone for all targets as mages are strategically placed.

Loot distribution proposal:

Each player will receive 1.0 points for attending a raid and 1.0 points for every hour a player uses a Tracker, COTH mage, Tagger and FTE'r. Active Poop-sockers (completely optional) will receieve .50 points. (this is subject to change)


Primal weapons will be distributed based on raid attendance in Sleeper's Tomb ONLY. This will encourage people to properly park to one of the more inconvenient zones to run to, while also putting an emphasis on obtaining Primals. Those in attendance for ST will receive +1 point. Active FTE, Trackers, and taggers will receive +1 point for every hour tracked, FTE'd or tagging. You put in the time, you get a primal. There will be a sub forum created for this for those with keys.

That means: building an army of bots, amassing a giant inventory of clickies and rare items which are used very strategically, and a guildbank to support insanely expensive recharges. These resources are not trivial, and both A/A have had YEARS to amass them. Yet you think you can just start this on a whim?

And to the people who you are asking to help you, you think its easy to find folks willing to stare at walls waiting on dragons to pop? 35+ targets a week, 16 hour windows. Why would ANYONE sign on to do that in your bound-to-be-failed alliance, when from their perspective, they could just sign on and contribute a few hours here, and a few hours there and have what as you have already described is a little easier than it could be?

Flat out, if killing the top targets is a priority to you, then you should be joining one of A/A. No other guild has the resources, playstyle, or army of people willing to undertake the tasks that is needed to win. EVERY key playmaker I've seen enter the top end came from a lower tier guild, was trying to carry them to success, and almost burned out because of it. It's just not possible to do with this many mobs, and this much variance. It takes a whole team. And these teams are already assembled.

I've been here since 2009, and taking a break every single summer.

I've known times where p99 was much more active and interesting, those times were mostly before the launch of an expansion, but I guess that's just how EQ works.

I've competed against guilds in which I didn't have a single friend ( the FE/TMO war was nothing friendly).
