Alright so, I've been on server a really long time, and I have made just about every class at this point and gotten it 50+ so I decided to make a new Shadowknight along with my buddy who is a Shaman. I've honestly done Befallen>Unrest>Guk for so long I don't even know where else we can go.
I'm level 22 now and I did those levels in Warrens which was really fun, but now I'm not sure where else to go. I tried runnyeye but it was really tough...I'll probably try again though. Looking for some suggestions on where we could duo from 20-50 or so that's totally off the beaten path. It doesn't have to be a dungeon, as long as it's fun!

At the lower end probably a bit tougher. But pretty much 80% of kunark dungeons only ever have 0-3 people in there

How about Stonebrunt? I never tried it, I too did Warrens from 10-24 myself. I probably will do the MM grind only because I am tired of soloing on my pally now. As a duo though, you could do Stonebrunt I think...

Great idea, but the rough part about Stonebrunt is that you have to go through Warrens, and then there's nowhere for melees to bind on the other side, so you have a potentially rough corpse run if things go south. Been meaning to check the zone out on my ranger, but haven't for that reason.
If you're looking for other ideas I strongly recommend the Per-Level Hunting Huide (link in my signature). It's got literally hundreds of different hunting spots, which means plenty that are "off the beaten path". A few ideas from the guide that I personally have enjoyed in the past: South Karana, Ocean of Tears Gargoyles/Mermaids, or the Warsliks Woods giant fort.

I didn't care for Stonebrunt much. At 25, the zone seems to be split between green/blue and +10 level reds without much in the way of solid camps.
Sol A. Vendor the ore at the druid rings in lavastorm. Can make a ton of money selling that ore for the 20 range.
If zone is packed just zone over to lavastorm and buy a port.

While that's a great suggestion in general, in this case I kinda doubt OP is concerned about earning Sol A plat :)

This is p99. Isn't everyone's concern with making that plat? :P

You have tons of options if you are bringing your own group from levels 20-35ish. Try Kerra island, (off tox forest) splitpaw in SK, cazic thule, najena, or permafrost. Id suggest warrens/stonebrunt but you already mentioned those.
Permafrost is somewhat used but the rest of these zones usually have less than five people. You can sit in kerra all day without seeing another person, many players dont even know its there.

Sol a is very good exp and you can go almost to mid 30s from goblins to gnomes. There's a druid port one zone over, merchants one zone over, a city 2 zones away and wizzy portal 2 zones away.
Good exp where you can bank and bind 2 zones away.

South Karana also has aviaks they are good xp, head far south to KFC to hunt them in their city.

Joined server a couple of months ago and have to agree whole heartedly with above suggestion as we did Sol A and loved it, plus subject to faction you can sell to merchant so need only leave once you weight way too much in coin.

Najena!! I think in the 20's you should be able to do it. It's my favorite dungeon!

Split paw. Great cash and challenging. Did the same, rerolled chanter and pained my way thru the same route to 29 but moving off the beaten path myself.

You could always donate to the *troxxistoolazyanddoesntwanttofarmseverlhundredKfo rhis epicfundbuthereallywantsbardepic* fund!
In all seriousness ... look for any progression path that doesn't involve mistmoore, city of mist, or karnors castle. Dungeons are more fun. Open world is safer. As for myself, I've spent literally zero time in city of mist other than doing guild raid/group shit for epics - so I'll be doing that on my next.

It's hard to call the kunark express (http://www.paullynch.org/eqguide/guides/kunark-express/) off the beaten" path, but it would be different from what you've been doing. If you're a non-iksar you'd need some support. Ports/binds/rezes etc.
Level 22 I'd recommend Forest Giant Fort in Warsliks Woods up until 25-27 or so then head to the "ledge" camp outside the sarnak fortress in LOIO until 30.
Level 30-35 sola is my go to. Level 34-38ish maybe go to crystal caverns. There are 3 camps past the coldain town with Stalag Terrors, spiders, and geonids.
The 40's have always been a grind for me. Solb/CoM unfortunately.
50's kedge keep and the hole are great.

Kaesora. For the 30-40 range, maybe more like 33 depending on class/group. It's very hard to beat kaesora exp. Park your but at the library and you can do this level range at about one level per hour in a fast killing trio. Me and my friends went at 35. Fungi monk, fungi ranger, non twinked warrior, and all left at 41 about 7 hours later.
Bonus, you can go down to the church and hang out till 45 or so easily. And except for those camping xalgoz, the zone is usually empty.

Yeah, you gotta have a really tight group who isn't afraid of scary mobs and a confusing dungeon. Solo? Dead. Bad player in group? Dead. Someone who wants to play low risk EQ? Gonna have a bad time.
That said, Kaesora is one of my favorite places to level :)
It's great for a crawl group. Just need to get the party together with the understanding that it's gonna be a few hours until we get out. Also helps those poor Wizards and Druids get a group.

One plus with kaesora is melee can be bound right outside the zone.
