Hi all just wanted to give you all a heads up so noone get fooled in them tunnels ;)
Cloak of Flames is now a 65k item. It sold as low as 60k one time lately but the long term value is now 65k

The reason for this is the easily (aka just like SCHW) farmed 34% haste item Spiked Seahorse Hide Belt which has shifted down the haste item market rapidly

Cloak of Flames is great , and there are therefore very good chances that price will remain at 65k for like.. forever :)

Just some info for those who might get fooled still thinking its a 75k item which its absolutely not

If I had a 50k item and I wanted to raise the price to 60k over the next couple of weeks, I might be tempted to make a tunnel alt with some "Walmartshop" type name, advertise it for 70k on and off.

Then after that jump on the forums and declare that 70k is too much guys...beware the real evil fat cats, and try to make a reputation for myself as the good guy to sell more items. If I gain people's trust I can then start dictating prices for items on the forums with the blessing of other forum users.

So ask yourselves this, why is that piece of trash not pushing his own price up to 68k-70k to make more money yet still undercut the top end fat cat?

Answer: Because the fat cat and OP are the same person, and I'd encourage Braknar to check the IP address of whoever listed it at 75k and see if it matches this guy.

But i had due to my trading skills a buy price on the CoF at 57k

I don't claim to know much about server economics, but I've been here long enough to see things go in cycles and as a rule, the end of the summer is the worst time to sell things and the best time to buy, since the population is significantly lower.

Someone already mentioned one reason COFs have dropped in price, rogues that were wearing it have no longer need for the 36% worn haste due to epic being fixed, so a boatload of COFs have been dumped recently. I would suspect COF to not drop much more and probably even go up in later months, but who knows?

With Seahorse Hide Belts getting farmed so hard atm, they are 34% haste, really quality belt slot haste and going for 50k and dropping due to over saturation, COFs may not ever return to their former glory of 70-80k days.

Items do not have official 'prices'. They are worth what people pay for them, period. Even if they did, you would not be the one to announce it to everyone.

As far as "manipulating" the market, there's just no way around this. People always find ways to push the worth of an item if they are trying to sell it. It's not only "classic" it's human nature.

People just fretting because they don't appreciate reselling and think it's somehow dirty.

People pay top bucks for top items, and CoF is still top tradable haste and has 50 HPs on it to boot. 75k seems right about where it should be. If anything Seahorse belt is under valued and should rise

Spiked Seahorse Hide belt has +STA too, makes it almost equal HP for a warrior (+49 HP equivalent I think) and some nice AC. Can open back slot item to other things. Also like one of the best Enchanter / Necro belts you can buy if you are end gaming.

I just like the item overall, even the minor resists, just a good balance. Only item i can think of that has an attribute in every stat + an effect and isn't some crazy end game piece.

34, 40 and 41% haste items off dragons and don't need to gear our their 4 and 5th characters with CoF, the pace of new haste items dropping is greater than the rate people are leveling new alts

CoF is just a twink item until your characters is like 46+ / cov factioned

I agree with this, the belt has a lot of nice fluffy stats and only 2% less haste than cof. For 15-20k less, the Spiked Seahorse Belt is a winner imo.
