It's kind of rude if the individual knows you need to unload vendor goods/change, but it is certainly not against the rules. You left the camp and should know that once you die/zone/go elsewhere that it is forfeit if someone else swoops in.

True, but that doesn't mean it ca't be done. I bet he never even thought to ask someone to do it. I never had trouble finding a lowbie to sell for me when I camped a spot in a open zone like MT, EF, Gfay etc. Always someone will come to sell for you when they get some plats for doing so. Been my experience anyway.

OP don't listen to these power trolls. I would hire a strong rule lawyer that can win your case. I can't find anything in the rules about going to sell and coming right back.

Project 1999 Staff will not be defining what constitutes a camp. Instead, Project 1999 Customer Service Staff will arbitrate spawn disputes on a per-case-basis. We greatly encourage players to find their own resolution to spawn disputes, as the solution provided by the staff will at best be a win-lose situation, and possbily a lose-lose situation. No two decisions, even at the same 'camp', are guaranteed to be the same, as we will take into account multiple factors in making a determination on a 'camp'.

That being said, you can absolutely "camp" mobs, and you cannot steal another players 'camp'. In general, if the placeholder or placeholders for a spawn are being killed, that 'camp' can be considered held by the player doing the killing so long as they are keeping the placeholders cleared, within the same zone, do not die or log off. You do not necessarily need to be at the spawn point to call it 'claimed' while it is uncontested, however, if someone else wishes to contest the 'camp' you do need to return to the 'camp' and maintain a presence at or very near the spawn(s) in order to hold it. You cannot hold multiple 'camps' if another group wishes to contest one that you are holding. The player holding multiple 'camps' retains the right to choose which 'camp' to give up.

If you were keeping the spawns clear within that zone, and did not die or log off, I think you have a strong case. Godspeed

If a group wipes at a camp I consider it common courtesy to allow them a reasonable chance to corpse-run and recover before their camp is up for grabs, but not everyone is willing to grant that courtesy and I bet everyone here has seen multiple occasions where even corpse runs result in lost camps. As for you, you didn't have a wipe, you left the camp of your own volition, so I'm not surprised nobody feels the least bit sorry for you.

I played EQ back in '98 and even today, I have no problem soloing Ice Giants because at times it's relaxing and not much of the whole daily grind.

Most of the players I know who show up are on the more friendly basis and if I have the front camp or the back camp. They will ask me to let them know when I'm leaving so they can take over. If I do happen to want to play for awhile and they are waiting then I'll ask them to watch the camp so I can go sell and they can take any IG that pop while I'm gone. I've done this over a hundred times by now and not once has anyone complained saying I left the camp and have always been cool about giving the camp back.

A camp is a camp and if someone has it then you wait for it or go elsewhere. I mean I have seen level 60 Necros and Shamans sitting on all 3 IG's and not wanting to be cool and split the camps up. Try dealing with that when they are sitting there for 4 or 5 hours...

The issue though is that when it comes to outdoor camps, the GM's will only enforce that a single player is allowed to 'camp' a single spawn at is spawnpoint. Anything past that must be shared through the PNP if more players arrive to the site. Been there, bought the shirt.

So while a lvl 60 <insert class here> could camp all 3 spawns, they have to give one up like a little bitch the moment someone else arrives and decides they want one.
