Best spots to skillup brewing

I'm looking at maxing out my brewing on my wizard. Currently I'm at 180. This basically requires hundreds of Minotaur Hero's Brew combines. I've used East Freeport and Neriak Commons for skilling previously, but as I don't have faction for either of these places I'm looking for another.

I am thinking maybe Paineel? After I faction in Warrens.

In short, I need a brew barrel near a vendor for malt and yeast (at least in the same zone would be nice). The other items are fairly common (cask, short beer, water).

It's been awhile, but I think I made a lot of brews in Highpass and Firiona Vie.

Rivervale's rogue guild has a vendor next to a brew barrel on the 1st floor. :o

Mino brew ingredients are all storebought...Rivervale's probably your best bet. Specifically the second floor of the Fool's Gold.

I did my Minos to GM in Halas on live and Neriak here on P99.

I may be mistaken, but I don't believe Short Beer is sold in Rivervale, which you'll need a lot of. I just recently did a couple batches of Mino in Firiona Vie. On the map below, the baker's hut (#1) provides the Water Flasks, and all other ingredients as well as a brew barrel are at the tavern (#5): http://www.allakabor.com/eqatlas/firionaviedocks.html

Akanon vendors & barrels are a few steps away from each other, and it's almost always vacant. Might be annoying for tall races, but could always buy a shrink potion.

Have you gotten the Fool's Gold Stein or the Stein that drops off the halfling swashbuckler that can be found roaming FV? Brewed boot beer or armadillo simmer ale yet?

Thurg is your best option, plenty of supplies to max it out.

Ak'Anon has everything within a few feet got a brewer to 170 there and a brewer to 258 there.

Thurgs a bad idea because it's a tradeskill zone. The last thing you want to find when you're grinding for GM is competition for the barrel.

Careful regarding paineel, those skeletons aren't really merchants on p99 even though the wiki lists them as such.

I went there to skill up and was disappointed.

Never bothered to research if it is functioning properly or if vendors were added after velious.
