Hi guys,

I'm wondering what y'all think. I don't have a job ATM and I'm wondering how far I could get playing a necro who is somewhat twinned in about 2 weeks.

That's assuming I can get eq on this laptop :/

Solo, semi twinked and in two weeks...
level 51 easily
54-56 with a less sleep schedule
60 if you know what you're doing, don't waste time and make every minute count. (this is unlikely, most people can't do it)

Everquest is about the journey not the race. Plus most people start feeling the burnt at 45+. It just depends on if you're willing to put in those 16-20 hour days every day for 2 weeks.

Possible to get 60
Most likely around low 50s though if you don't have work holding you down.

You could get 60 if you neckbearded it.

More likely 40-50 though.

45-48 imo, under normal playing standards and playtime.

I would urge you to spend the next 2 weeks looking for work or bettering yourself IRL and not sh!t socking your way to level 50.

rofl, not to laugh it's actually a seriously good point, but I try not to judge.

I don't know his RL situation, perhaps he is inbetween jobs and starts in 2 weeks, maybe he won the lottery and will never have to work again, etc.

I try to stick to game stuff, and not worry about people's RL situations unless it seems clear they truly could use some RL feedback.

If I ever felt inclined to tell someone what they should do in their life I'd try to use positive reinforcement not negative, in a private manner.

Sometimes you guys are rude, even if what you say possibly holds merit.

I wouldn't advise binge-playing anything, but I suppose you could get pretty far if you put forth the effort. There are well-established leveling paths if you want to skip a lot of more interesting stuff. Of course, if you find the leveling highway interesting, than I suppose you are in for a rip-roaring good time.

He asked a pretty simple question that was easily answered so I was throwing in a different perspective is all. Binging 2 weeks of EQ is something I have certainly done in the past, no judgements no man, you were just being a dipshit tbh.

50?! Really? I mean if you played 16 hours a day, for 14 straight days, and were as efficient as humanly possible...maybe I guess.

I'd say mid/late-30's is way more likely.

When I played a caster I found the issue was running around and gathering up all my spells, some key spells became research only spells... so I was hunting in the tunnel or trying to gather the components / searching vendors.

I think playing a melee to the higher levels with dedicated play time is far easier just because you basically never need to go looking for stuff.

Pet class was tougher too because of pet exp penalty (think it is 50%? If you do iksar necro even longer to level).

Avoid any camped areas if you are truly looking to solo, target abandoned zones or out of the way camps. Bank all your necessary spells only, don't worry about certain spells you'll outgrow very quickly (you can always come back for them later).

I would set your sites on level 39 to be honest (I think that is a tier where you get new spells). If you shut in and try and get 50 I think you'll just want to quit.
