Is the triggered version of Faydedar easier than the regular version?
What is the minimum number of players needed?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Not sure of the difference, sorry I cant help very much.
I can point out the obvious that levels + resists really help push the odds in your favor (mr + fr). Each and every person not feared is a huge asset to achieving the win.

1 or 2 groups is normally enough. Having bard(s) for fear/magic resist is the big thing.
You can't line of sight dodge the AoEs fear or nuke/dispel in TD.

Depends on gear.
Killed him with ranger, monk, cleric.
Duo might be hard because of the regen.

Going to want as much MR as you can pack on, dragon roar is -150 mr.
If you're getting feared chances are it's a wipe in a small, small group.

Dragon roar can get you even with 255 MR, unlikely but possible, if 50% of your force gets feared, and or your healers get feared, things go south quickly.

He's got regen like the real version but 10k less hp I believe. Could be wrong, who knows. I feel like he's easier. I've wiped on the real one, but never the triggered one with similar forces.

Can do with 2 groups. High lvl tank (hopefully 60) cleric, bard singing resist, backup tank or knight if MT gets fear - and some DPS classes. Not very hard. Make sure to click off sow/jboots and turn walk on before the fight so you dont run extremely far when feared. Happy hunting

Killed him pretty easily with a 60 cleric, bard, and warrior.

when I got mine back in 2000 the person behind me in "line" waiting at the camp kited faydedar away and accidentally into the GM monk (think the other druid somehow also got themselves killed doing this), who then solo'd faydedar, and my friend a bard then got the last hit on faydedar and somehow the corpse was still valid and I got my piece.
ya know, in case you only need a one in a million chance of success.

Pretty sure a shaman on p99 somehow used that monk to "solo" Fay. Can't remember the exact scenario, but it's buried in the hundreds of pages of the solo artist challenge thread.

A cleric might be able to do it with monk/fay train, let them fight then Paci/memblur monk once Fay is at low hp?
I used to XP on sand giants in Ro this way (but using merchants that were kos with giants instead of an npc monk, obviously).

I guess if there isn't another druid there trying to mess you up on purpose it would be even easier to try and control the gm monk versus fayedar scenario.
I had a group trying to reach fayedar, the reason our bard friend got the last hit was that the bard was the only one fast enough to catch up with whatever idiotic place the other druid was training/kiting things.

I think this monk method has real potential. Thanks for the tip.

i cleared it all the time with warrior/rogue/cleric, but raid geared with primals and max resists, not a super hard fight. triggered or untriggered. bringing a bard along helps if you aren't geared, or if you don't want to spend a half hour running to the island.

I never noticed a difference between the two.
Same with triggered Trakanon

It's not that bad, a group or two

Are the Monk epic NPC and Faydedar KoS to each other or is it just that Faydedar will attack the monk on sight?
I'm kind of tempted to try this... Anyone willing to share more info?
