1 is he on a timer for the triggered Druid version
2 how many people and of what composition do I need to down him?

I'm a Druid that's 98% done with epic besides him and VSR

Welcome to the club! The 98%ers make up about 99% of all Druids currently working on their epics!

That said, iirc, there is a timer on the mob that spawns the triggered version of fay. My gut is telling me 72hrs, but it’s been quite some time. As for group comp, 1.5-2 groups of geared players should be just fine. At this point in the server’s life, players are geared well enough that a massive force isn’t needed

I'm not certain but I think the timer to re-trigger it after a fail is 8 hours.

How many people you need is really dependent on how geared your force is, if 90% of your force spends the majority of the fight feared you'll probably need at least 2 groups if not more. If all of your force has high MR 2 groups would be overkill.

Make sure everyone has as much magic resist as they can pack on. Dragon roar will be the doom of the group if people are feared they can't heal/disc/etc.
Tank, Cleric preferably, Enchanter for clarity+group MR+haste, rogue/monk dps a couple of them. Shaman is optional mostly acts as a spot healer along with any other class that can spot heal.

Should be good to go. Like Valdain said 1.5-2 groups.

60 tank preferably and a cleric/bard for resists/rogue/shaman and anything else. 1-2 groups

I'm almost certain the respawn timer for the Fay trigger is 13hr 10 min - odd I know, but was camping it a few times for druids in Europa and I think that is what it came out to.
Good luck!

Warrior, monk, monk & cleric is what I regularly do it with.

1) From what I remember, Dolgin is on a timer that I believe is 24 hours or less.

2) If you have a trio of decently geared 60s; cleric, warrior, and bard I have found that's a comfortable minimum for the fight.

Bard was great for maxing out MR, decent additional DPS, and mana song was very helpful. The two times we did this with this things never got dicey.

i'd go with a string ensemble in c minor with minimal percussion.
