The only logical conclusion, based on what we know, is your existence just returns to the place it did before your brain chemistry was developed enough, like when you get put under anesthesia in surgery or something, except you just don't wake back up(your brain chemistry doesn't return to normal)

Brain needs to be intact, so none of those.

acceptable DMT (humane) deaths:

1) Spear through the chest, bleeding out. Fine. Brain is in tact and DMT will release upon cardiac event from blood loss.

2) Peaceful deathbed death via cancer/heart stoppage is fine (Steve Jobs final remarks on his deathbed indicated he was getting DMT just before he died)

3) Any death where you aren't beaten unconscious before being killed. I.E. getting knocked out and stabbed to death = very bad.

Getting stabbed to death = very good. The slower the cardiac event, the more DMT will have a chance to grant you afterlife. So major artery slicing = BAD.

I had the classic near-death experience when I was fourteen.

I was trying to play hooky from school but Mom wasn't having it. She gave me some Aspirin and told me to get. So I headed out for the bus stop but by the time I'd gone half a block I knew something was wrong. My feet were itchy. I started to sneeze uncontrollably. I turned around and headed home. This was the day we discovered that I'd developed an allergy to Aspirin.

By the time I made it home I was turning red and my entire body was swelling. Dad dialed 911 but no one answered. I started having seizures, waxing in-and-out of consciousness. Dad said, "Fuck it I'm taking him to the hospital myself."

He carried me to the front yard and 911 called us back. He told them he was en route but they said we should wait. So we did.

I started to die in the grass. I was shaking and couldn't really see anything because my eyes were almost entirely swollen shut. Mom and Dad were screaming.

Then shit got straight fucking serene. I could see. I looked at my house, and the bricks began to blast out. They flew into the sky. That crazy brilliant white light everyone's always talking about was firing bricks right out into the atmosphere. And then the white light started to swallow me as it seeped from the gaps left in my childhood home. And I left my body. I floated above myself, watched Mom and Dad crying.

Then Dad got down on his knees and started to blow into my mouth. I remember the taste of his mustache--coffee and cigarettes. And it brought me back. I was still seizing, but the white light vanished all at once.

The paramedics arrived shortly thereafter and brought me back inside the house. They cut off my clothes because I'd swollen to where they were skin tight, and this was 1994 so I was wearing JNCOs with like 38 inch cuffs. Then the paramedics did the craziest fucking thing. They rammed a needle full of adrenaline clean through my sternum, directly into my heart or some shit. Straight Pulp Fiction shit. I didn't sit bolt upright like Uma Thurman but I did start yelling unintelligibly. I felt like the fucking Hulk, all swollen and red and fucking pumped. Then I spent the night in the hospital and I haven't taken much in the way of medication since.

A few years later, I started experimenting with LSD. I found that the mechanism of the trip was remarkably similar to my NDE. It destroyed my faith.

Nowadays, I tend to believe that when you die you experience whatever you expect. The mind protects us even in those last moments and I do believe it is possible to experience eternity this way, same as a dream spanning many days can be encapsulated in the final seconds of sleeping. Basically like Azzar describes, but with the content entirely self-determined, even if unconsciously.

not relevant doing DMT can only emulate the experience a little bit, you can't release DMT from the pineal into the appropriate sections via microglia activation by smoking DMT in your bloodstream. there is no release. you are flooding DMT into your body when you smoke it, much of it going into areas first where it doesnt belong.

smoking DMT is about 1/20th of the experience of the death experience. Its ok to get an orientation on the universe, but its largely meaningless if we are talking about the organic death experience.

If you really want a pre death DMT experience go for a samadhi experience. Kriya Yoga is a good route to achieve this if you can actually get the technique and not just years of milking by weird yoga institutions. Basically, you will end up stopping the flow of blood from your heart to have an imposed near death experience.

Azzar is very on point with his posts on the reality of DMT. You also get hits of it while dreaming. Personally, I have never and will never take DMT. I am saving that experience for my death. My hypothesis is that smoking DMT prior to this will diminish the transcendent experience of dying with a good DMT release.

I have known many to smoke it and come back befuddled or with superficial experiences. My own voyage to another dimension on very strong Salvia divinorum was quite enough for me, thank you.

If consciousness is something that exists beyond the physical body (and all evidence into the matter has proven that's not the case), then there is a possibility that it is recycled into another physical form (various reincarnations).

If that case is also true, then there is the case that something exists responsible for the creation/destruction/overseeing of consciousness. Thus you could make the case for Gods etc.

However we can't even prove the first stage (that consciousness exists separate from the physical body), therefore anything more than death being a state of eternal sleep is pure speculation.
