Hey just watched the 1973 version of the wickerman wondering what u guys thought.
The main theme of people having such deep rooted (and possibly incorrect) beliefs is still relevant today and always will be. while it isnt a traditional horror movie, the entire time, the plot builds up this eerie atmosphere that all leads up to the incredibly horrifying finale. howie, the outsider, shines a "normal", "objective", christian light onto the whole setting. he basically reacts with the viewer. however, to all the islanders, this is normal life because its the way they and their parents grew up. 1 pretty powerful scene is near the end when he starts spewing some bible knowledge and the whole lot of the batshit crazy islanders just sit there watching silently like he is the insane one. very powerful movie i highly recommend
