Solo AC in OOT as a Rogue?

Looking to maybe start camping the AC in OOT soon. Want some jboots :). What level can I do it reliably as a Rogue? My Rogue is my main and is not twinked. Currently level 45.

Untwinked and no epi I would say get to 60 before you do. Or get a few friends to help you camp it.

The AC in South Ro is level 35 you would have a much easier time killing him there.

You don't want to do this with a rogue. You will make a long camp four times as long.
Level another toon, camp the rogue out there to loot. Or, farm the pp and buy the MQ. What's worse, others will be tempted to KS you if you are still regen'ing and taking a long time on kills.

Farming 5k will take you less time on a rogue than doing the AC camp on your own.

There is not much reason for a 45 rogue to do jboots (if you just want travel buffs, buy sow pots until 60).

At 45, even if everyone leaves you alone and you are willing to take the time, unless you are very twinked I would doubt you could do it.

Sounds like the AC in SRO will be my best bet if I want to try to do it myself. That or come up with the cash.

PS: South Ro AC will take you much more than 20h. Actually I think you just can't win the tag race versus all the druids TPing at 21:30 to get a chance at 7kpp.

In OoT, maybe you could be lucky and have the next player on list to help you get the kill... otherwise yeah get the MQ:(

You could prolly pump out two in a few hours. If you had a group a friends and you could tel them you will help them get their rings.

If you are lvl 45 you're better off grinding EXP. Buy 3 SoW pots for now.. Get to lvl 52ish, youll have pp by then. Can easily get 1-3k per day in KC just winning random loots.

Camping it yourself as a rogue youll be getting very little exp. Just to grind levels out. 2 Birds with 1 Stone, or whatever. Trust Dannyl.

I wouldn't. Even if it was doable, you'd take forever killing it, pissing off everyone in line at the camp. Which isn't a big deal... but.. you know. It would be easier to just buy it.

i agree with most people - the time u spent camping AC with your rogue factoring in the fail to kill chance, the return of investment is too low

u better off using the time to xp and get loots/gems/cash

sow pots is a very good alternative for now until you get jboots - 10pp per cast means 500-600 casts for a price of jboots mq. how many times do u need sow in one day? =P

If you're a self found kinda guy I'd recommended leveling further and camping it later on. If you value your time I'd recommend buying the boots.

+1 for leveling up more. By all means camp your own, but I have some doubts about you killing it at 45.

Have a paladin friend keep healing you and stealing aggro and keeping his damage below 50% and then stab it the back like it owes you commissary in prison.

Mechanical lockpicks + CE in seb viable for a rogue at this level?

When I do CE all I'd care about is that the rogue has sufficient lock pick skills to be frank.

45 is too low for AC OOT on any melee. I think even in low 50s on my Monk who was pretty well geared it was a dicey proposition.

I would not attempt on a rogue until you had a fungi, epic, and level 55. Melee are not known for solo capabilities.

I know that sounds like crazy gear requirements but as a rogue you are not going to be able to hold the camp down unless you are well over powered (the giants hit hard)

Sro AC and OOT AC are two very different mobs. The OOT one hits like a shit brick house. Sro basically tries to hurt you with harsh language.

I would just bite the bullet and MQ one. I did the Sro camp for 2 weeks and had it taken 4 times by one guy alone not to mention the other campers. unless you are a druid ranger or bard you cant win the race in sro. This is just one of those easy money camps that brings out the level 60s every time and they have it down to a science. Unless by some miracle it spawns on top of you, they will tag it before you have a chance. You are there because you need the speed boost they already have it. It's just that simple.
