Is there a possibility to put your own mp3s of battle-music in a folder that trigs when fighting?
If so, is there a random play option, that randomly picks an mp3 in the folder to play in battle?
Thanks.

Hoping to get the Looney Toons theme song or are you more of a battle-to-Justin-Bieber-music kind of player?

I assume you could just replace combattheme1.mp3 & combattheme2.mp3 in your EQ directory, with a different .mp3 of the same name. This won't create a list of course. Might be some issues with bit rate or format not matching what EQ expects.
Disclaimer: haven't tested this.

LOL
I was actually thinking of adding some battle-themes from Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim there, just to test if the feeling would be good.

Good idea, thanks. I'm gonna try this with a few tracks and see if it plays them in order or shuffles them.
You could do some entertaining things if this is indeed possible.

Just got around to testing this and I can confirm it works. Does not create a playlist or anything, but seems you can replace any .mp3 in EQ folder with another .mp3 of the same name... EQ will play that instead.
Tested with 320kbps sample.
Don't forget to back up your old files though.
There might be issues with larger file sizes. I don't know. Don't hold me responsible if something breaks. :)

Haha! You'll have to restart the game after changing it btw.
I'm going to find the sickest post hardcore breakdown and replace it as battle music. It'll get me hella pumped for combat and the exp train!

CURRENTLY PLAYING ON AGNARR!
I'm guessing this might not work on Agnarr because your changes would be caught in the patching process? Unless you used the -patchme shortcut ... not sure if that works on live.

I play on both. I was only planning on changing it for p99. I think you're right about live servers.

This is my fight song...
So 'shuffling' won't work too well because you need to restart game to hear new song, but you could run a script to pick a random mp3 in a specific folder and overwrite your current combattheme1.mp3 in your p99 folder.
I wrote this script to work with node. (https://gist.github.com/anonymous/e47fe0c039f5a03b7d7c67e6c3cf1639)
You could then have this script run when you run eq so that it would change your combattheme1 each time you launch the game.

Should be possible, just have to change it every time you play. Here are the steps that should hopefully work:
> Create/save the files in a place other than your EQ live folder
> Start Launchpad, allow it to patch
> Before hitting the PLAY button, open your EQ live folder and replace the desired files in the folder
> Hit PLAY
> Your changes should remain until the next time the Launchpad repatches.
This also works if you want the older spell particles. For that, you should open your EQ live folder and delete spellsnew.edd, spellsnew.eff
And finally, for an updated classic Velious UI that works on live, try Neue Velious: http://www.eqinterface.com/downloads/fileinfo.php?id=6691

Will it pick a random mp3 for every time you enter into battle?
