I was happily camping Scryer in Guk today minding my own business hoping for the bracelet so I can replace my uber cloth ones when low and behold a 45 Enchanter named Namyjamo arrived and sat there for a while. When he saw I was about to kill my last mob he decided I needed more and pulled I dunno 10 or so (a couple might have been from re-pops in the other room). Needless to say, I was pissed off. He had no reason to cast anything there.

I don't know how or why he pulled the train but it sure looks like he did it on purpose to me. He perhaps maybe didn't want to kill me but move me from the camp? Was he trying to get the mask for quest? I don't really know. I do know that I'd have given him the mask if that's what he wanted.

What I do know is I got angry and then he had to try to belittle me as if I had never played EQ before. I might be low level here, budro, but I played EQ long ago and for quite a while. I know what I'm doing. Anyway, he claimed he was trying to help me. Yes, trying to help me leave my camp. Otherwise why be there and why pull the mobs?

But me getting angry at him just meant I was an unappreciative lowbie. "No wonder high levels (like his super duper 45) don't help newbs"... his words.

Then his buddy Meech had to send me tells with threats of "ruining my rep" and "hope you like rerolling".... mmm okay, asshole. Anyway, Meech was just dying to see the video that I claimed I had because he didn't believe me. So here it is.

I did not mean to train you. I must have picked up aggro from the lguk ZL somewhere along the way out of the zone. I stop and buff noobs all the time with C or Augment, most of the time they are super appreciative. I've even been known to sit in FoB or EC Tunnel for like an hour just buffing people when I'm bored.

So anyways...

I stopped and casted C and a Rune on you (which costs 1p btw) to try and help out a fellow low level enchanter. Then I sat down to mem my Brilliance spell to help with your mana pool and was hit by a Frog... thought maybe one was up behind me no big deal. Then I turn around and there were a good 10. At that point I could have just run off and left you to die, but I mezz locked them for you so you could escape.

I'm sorry that you died, and I'm sorry that I couldn't sit there and have a full blown conversation with you while trying to keep 10-15 mobs mezzed stating my intentions and describing in full detail the situation in which we found ourselves, and I'm sorry that the only thing i could think to say that reflected urgency (because I was LOM) was 'gtfo'. But you stood there and stared at me and eventually I did run OOM and had to zone it. Then you proceeded to send me nasty messages afterwards threatening to make this post and get me banned until I had to /ignore you because you wouldn't shut up about it...

I clearly tried to buff you, then save you... and you stood there, then blamed me because you stood there.

I'm not sure what else I could have done in that situation. And before you say "you should have killed the 10-15 mobs"... you're an enchanter... with what? My Rod of Insidious Glamour? Gravity Flux? Because people really keep that memmed (or know where it is in their spell book if they even have it).

You're completely right... the most believable spin is that I purposely trained a lower level for no reason because I hate my enchanter and want to be banned... BUT that wasn't enough so I sat there mezz locking 10-15 mobs for fun, actively taunting the guy who I must have had rooted in place so he couldn't move or escape (i have pvp hacks apparently) before finally running OOM and then running off so he died. I assume he died, I didn't actually see it. If he didn't die and this post exists...

Regardless, yes your way sounds way more believable than me not paying attention to chat because I was on the phone.

I got a response within 2 minutes actually. He said to make a post on the Petition/Bugs Forum. I assumed using /petition in game was still used like before but I guess not. It's somewhat ironic how both players here are enchanters but neither of them used the strengths associated with the class—reason, patience, charisma, a level of detachment to the situation, and crowd control. The higher level told his friend/others in discord and the lower level told everyone else by taking it to the forums. And now you both have aggro from all sides. Just memblur yourselves and move on imo.

Those who are saying that the OP is bad at this game based on one recorded instance... Everyone has been bad at one time or another. You inadvertently root yourself. You plow enrage while tabbed out. However, it still applies because the higher level player didn't really fix the situation, despite all his efforts. You guys say these things with hind sight as if you would have done everything perfectly. I had no idea what he was doing at first and I assumed he would kill them if they were his train and he was high enough. I didn't know he was level 45 until way later in the day when he took anon off. Once he did not kill them I assumed from his actions and his "gtfo" that he was trying to run me off my camp. I can genuinely say now that that is probably not the case, but you don't know that at the time.

I don't know about you but I never wanted to waste mana on greens when I needed to farm something. I just wacked them a few times and went on my way. Why would you not?

Unless mob gives you XP you won't skill up, any mob that gave me xp while on Enchanter I charmed a 2nd mob nearby in level, got them both down to within dying range of my nukes. Broke charm nuked them both. This was after I did bone chips from 1-13 so I almost never melee'd a mob.

Most people at this point leveling Enchanter on servers are slightly to very twinked alts that didn't need much off mobs they kill until 30+ or later.

You're point is taken. But I stand by the notion that when in a group a caster should wack mobs once in a while to get weapon up. Makes no sense not to.

This is my main and I farmed all of my gear myself. I'd be happy to make some videos and show you how to play the game if you'd like?
