The billions they rack up from college sports is disgusting, these players should be getting a million per year at least and that wouldn't even scratch the amount of dollars flowing in.
***Good games though.

A guy at work told me all you people in the south have to do is drink beer, fuck gators, and watch college football.
Please confirm or deny.

I just want to watch Saban become undone for a game. Is that so wrong?

I'm for the dawgs just because I want saban to lose
Also, saw a Back Pew beer for the first time in the wild yesterday at Houston Improv off of I-10 near the Edwards marquee. Satyr's swill is pretty good

Game was hardly a top 3 for me even though it was....
Average at best.
Pulled starting quarterback which ruined the table setting. Let the guy try to work his way out of the ditch he put himself in!
Saban has at his disposal SO many top ranked players that all he has to do is look in his bag of top10 recruits and pull one out stick them in to win games.
Game turned to shit when he did that.
Yet! He will be regarded as a "genius" because he had the foresight to recognize his starting number one recruited in the country running quarterback couldn't handle Georgia's lightning fast run-stopping defense.
Oh, ok let me pull out my number one recruited PASSING quarterback and see how the worn-down Georgia defense handles him!
TL;DR
Game was a crock of shit, found the game utterly ruined and over-hyped for what transpired. Even started to fall asleep in the end.

Genius = lots and lots of money into recruiting. Saban is literally the Belichik of cfb
... except that Belichik is a legit genius.

Yeah that's what I was trying to express in my typical convoluted way. :p
I enjoy good games, I found that one to be a drag watching once some "unknown" top recruited quarterback came in and totally altered the proper destiny of the game.
College football is such a vast moneymaker now tbh it makes me sick. I rather watch NFL games.
At least the NFL gladiators do get some money themselves from the games they play, and as prominent as Bill Bellechick is, he still can lose.
College football is nothing but legal slavery, working over the "student athletes" that are forced to participate due to being forced to operate as the system demands of them so they can make it to the next level which is the NFL.
Pay the college athletes some of the billions that are generated, that's all I am saying.

Nah I agree completely. Getting paid nothing while exposing yourself to devastating injury isn’t right at all.

their scholly is worth ~250k these days in school, private tutoring, free unlimited food, diet experts, etc. most wont make pros, so free school is something they may not have gotten otherwise. they should get a stipend, but comparing it to slavery is about as dumb as most of your posts.
You know my point is on point though and you can gloss over it with details like a scholarship they get etc etc.
It's even worse that most won't make pros because basically the college athletes are used for 1-4 years then discarded while the schools and system make billions off them.
Life aint fair and people get used. I know that.
I just think the level of using college athletes to rake in billions of dollars is amazingly genius and disgusting at the same time.
Using zing words like "slavery" always gets the juices flowing. The statement might have been a bit hyperbolic, but it makes forumquesting more fun and always guarantees an insulting response from superior humans like you. :p

these kids arent forced to do anything. they know what they signed up for when they get there quarter million dollar scholly for free education. they dont have to do anything at all. they do it because they want to and want to move to the next level or ride out their free school.
Considering how much money the program takes in for the school and how much coaches get paid, they should make *something*.. comparing college sports to modern day slavery is not a new idea. Also consider how many monorities from disparate communities get into sports because they think that’s the only way for them to crawl out of their bad situation and ‘make something of themselves.’

I think whites should get affirmative action in basketball
