50-59, 1 Level Per Zone

If you had to level 50-59 and you could only do one level per each zone, what would your 10 zones 50-59 be? You can just list one zone and level if you don't feel like coming up with 10.

Any camps, any zones, min solo, max 1 full group. If you want to include your reasoning feel free (XP, zem, mob hps, loot, ease, challenge, availability, location, fun, coolest graphics to stare at for 15 hours, etc.). 60 isn't included because when you ding 60 you're finished.

I don't have the EQ experience or memory to come up with 10 so here's one:

59 - HS - charming solo duo, or grouping. decent xp here.

50-59: The Hole (I love it that much)

Realistically I think they'd go:
50: Lower Guk
51: CoM
52: Sol B
53: Kedge Keep
54: The Hole
55: KC
56: Velks
57: Chardok
58: Sebilis
59: Howling Stones

Only meh zones are Velks and Chardok, but not sure if there are other good alternatives if doing only 1 zone per level. Depending on class you could work in Siren's Grotto (but very tough zone) or an outdoor zone like Western Wastes if you can charm / fear some animals.

Considered Kael but that is more for faction / drops not exp.

52- city of mist 2nd or 3rd floor
53- lower guk lord/frenzy
54- solb efreeti
55- hole docks camp or drop down
56- Pom Rat maze
57- chardok iksar betrayer camp

59- howling stones west

I Disagree with Dalden, as you can Solo as a Shaman/Druid from 50-60 just as well as both an ench or necro. Granted, this all depends on the zone you are in to accomplish this feat.

Basically if you aren't going to solo on Necro or Enchanter, reroll. Leveling is painfully too slow otherwise for a 5th or 6th alt.


Couldn’t disagree more. I leveled my enchanter to 60 and didn’t solo at all. I formed duos and trios and it went extremely fast, was a blast as well. Doesn’t matter what alt it is, you can form a trio as any class and get great experience if it’s the right combination.

Here are a few more out of the way options

Permafrost Bear Pits seem popular 55+ (never been myself)
Highkeep killing bards/nobles - I see level 50+ doing these
Quading Drolvargs in DreadLands for certain classes is good through mid 50's
Spirocs in TD are popular for druids in low 50s
SolB BnB is always popular for 50-55 - Effreti for 55-60

I would not have considered Highkeep or TD spirocs in the 50's. Would think they would have caped out by then or the return is diminished.

Weird spots ahoy! Some grouped, some solo depending on class. Not necessarily the most efficient.

50 - GD frost giant fort
51 - EJ roamers
52 - WL Goos
53 - CoM 2nd/3rd floor
54 - TT in the spectral city by Emperor Ganak
55 - BW giant fort
56 - WL Geonids
57 - Velks
58 - Chardok ent/exit, or deeper in, or betrayer tunnel (but that's boring)
59 - HS anywhere
(bonus) 60 - SG ent/exit, or deeper in if you're a boss with a boss group

Also worth mentioning is ...

The reason no one does this is because idiots like me will record the player doing this and report them after putting them on a friend list. Only to chuckle the next day when the player no longer appears on the friend list. It's a great way to lose whatever work you put into an account.

Edit - you might want to edit your post because you're advocating players to use an exploit and multiboxing on the server.

Spawning Tolon Nurbyte over and over is not an exploit. That's part of the quest.

He just happens to be a great AFKmode option to level 50+. In fact the level 1 box isn't necessarily required. You could even just sneak behind the NPC or sneak in Tolon's room and /target the NPC below and say the phrase and he will spawn.

I'm sure if any rule breaking goes on in Felwithe the GMs will be all over you though. They have plenty of experience with it especially after all the MQ2 users who warp characters between Felwithe and Kelethin chain completing the mail delivery quest for a few gold each turnin.


Tolon Nurbyte is a level 30 npc now they fixed that a bit ago, still good for level 30s though i guess

Also worth mentioning is any level 50-60 Felwithe chain spawning Tolon Nurbyte. You just need a friendly level 1 high elf boxed character to spam "Tolon Nurbyte" to a merchant in Felwithe and it spawns a mob that ranges from 40-43 with about 2k HP in a room by himself. Easiest path to 60 by far with that Felwithe ZEM, it's just mind numbingly boring.

Wow thanks for the many detailed and creative replies. Lots of hunting ideas to keep things fresh grouped or solo. Personally I've found xp to be just fine duoing and trioing up to 50ish if you keep the blue pulls coming fast, I'm not sure how it goes after 50 though.

Duos and trios are the only practical means of grinding exp 50+ too. There's few camps in the game that can't be done by a competent small group.
