Nintendo shutting down Wii Shop Channel in 2019 -
cannot add Shop Points after March 26 2018:

"While Nintendo won’t take the Wii Shop Channel offline until January 30, 2019, the real end date of WiiWare is coming up much sooner—March 26, 2018. That’s the date that Nintendo will stop allowing you to add Wii Points to your console. Since Wii Points are the only method by which you can purchase more games, that means you won’t be able to buy any of these games after that date. Unless, of course, you’ve got a pile of unspent points in your account."

I was a hack/mod wii user so never spent any moneyz on it, but recently got a pristine stock version of a Wii and got a bunch of the best WiiWare games on it. Heres what I got(My suggestion of good Wiiware games, most are exclusive on Wii Shop)

Cave Story (Can get it free online but the Wii edition was the first console version)

i played la mulana on a gross mattress in the back room of the the trap house when i was a fresh lil hoe. from that cam4 top slot .back in the days we called that 'camming' not streaming and i just dont believe that these nintendo switch kids who got their hormones at 15 know bout that life. will u private show for the admin or will u get banned for underage? lot of emotion here for me.

Yeah La Mulana is a cracking game

About WiiWare, its accessible through Wii U also when you enter the Wii Mode, for those who still use the Wii U.

Im on the Wii/Wii U mostly, I enjoy the High Tech feel I get when pointing with the wiimote at my TV. Or pointing the wiimote at the WiiU pad, now thats very futuristic!

If that's what the Switch becomes I think it might actually sell a few units.

So the Switch does not have VC yet? Theres an eShop I guess.

Shutting down Wii Shop and VC games turning up on Switch are not related at all(Im pretty sure) - they just pulling the plug on all things Wii(Mii channel, Mario Kart Online racing etc been shut down long time ago)

Anyways, these WiiWare games will not show up on the Switch eShop anytime soon, or at all for that matter.
