Mage focus item drop rate

Does anyone know how common or uncommon these are? I burned about 40 gators in cazic Thule today and didn't see a single one drop. Are they more common from mages in najena? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It's been awhile since I have camped them in Najena, but I have helped quite a few people grab theirs since and in my experience CT was the preferred option if slaughtering gators is an option for you. They are not exactly 'common' however. 40 without a drop sounds normal in my experience.

The p99 wiki has them listed as rare and the epic pages listed as very rare of which i actually had drop.

najena is pretty bad for them. getting duplicates will make you want to cry

This. I leveled my druid up there animal charming (mini-guide (http://wiki.project1999.com/Cazic_Thule_Alligator_Pit)) and I saw a fair number of mage items drop. Of course you're at the mercy of the RNG, but if you steadily kill gators for an hour two you should get at least one.
