Thanks, haha.. Went bald at 16. Its funny because few my age have been bald longer then not bald in their whole life, so when I see the more typical guy in his thirties stressing over it so much I find it adorably humorous. :p my haircut has been a simple razor for as long as I can remember.

Yeah man. I parted ways with my hair around 22? 23? I never once thought twice about it.. Noticed thinning, shaved it immediately.. I feel bad for those losing hair in the later half of their life haha, probably gets tougher to deal with losing ur hair the longer u have had it!

I figure this is doing God's work and is as good a reason to live a loveless hate scarred cold dead lonely life as any.

I don't find myself attractive. My therapist was curious about this. I thought about it for awhile then looked at her and said "I guess I am, I suppose so, people have said I am attractive". "But, no, I am not particularly attracted or attached to myself."

Weight keep dropping~
188.8 188.8 188.8 188.6 188.4 from 206 in January. Weather finally nice enough to go outside recreationally, so I’m gonna step up the exercise to push this further. Think in about 10 lbs I’ll be wearing size 10/medium clothes. My size 12 jeans aren’t skin tight anymore, which I’m totally fine with because I was a JNCO/baggy T-shirt skater kid and form fitting stuff is an abomination.
TIL the average American woman is size 16-18 now. That’s encouraging for dating prospects down the line.

jeff I am on keto and doing too much exercise, my body cannot keep up with electrolytes
I have not had a carb in 2 months, and by not one carb I haven't had even a bean or lentil.
I started eating a full size florida avocado everyday at breakfast and my diet basically consists of 3 piece of turkey bacon and 3 eggs for breakfast ( I sautee a red pepper and half onion first for the eggies ) I have a mens one a day multivitamin after.
and for dinner a monster salad of fresh gourmet lettuce I grow and a good serving of protein. In the salad I put lots of goodies ( zero sugar ) but it seems after 2 exercise days I melt all the electrolytes I have and start to get dizzy
What can I do about this?
eat moar fat, salt everything, take a magnesium supplement and don't be a dick.

Onions and peppers have carbs numb nuts
Nuke Florida
Avocados have double the potassium of a banana. It isn’t an electrolyte issue. Add Himalayan salt. But again, not an electrolyte issue. Probably your hate filled heart giving out on you. Accept Christ while you still can
Patriam1066
03-25-2019, 09:41 PM
its electrolytes dude
peppers are very low in carbs, and all the carbs in veggies are fiber based.
Onions have more but the serving is very small, as for Christ well,,
only poor people believe in god
and iran will be nuked long before florida

Also you’re poor. You pick lettuce

ceci is right, you tend to lose a lot of sodium on keto. You can also lose potassium, which can be exacerbated when you try correct sodium levels by adding salt. patrium's suggestion of avocado is good for that, but even better is large amounts of leafy greens, liek kale, spinach and arugula. it's pretty easy to burn up your carb allowance just getting the potassium and other vitamins/minerals that you need.
Also onions actually have quite a bit of sugar in them. garlic has a fair amount of starch too. one of the disappointing things about keto.

thats not bad actually. id be okay eating that way. keto doesn't require that you eat lots of meat. in fact it is actually hard to do right with lotta meat because most meat is so lean. Cheese, cream, butter are good sources of fats though, alongside avocado, olives and nuts.

gosh, SOMEONE sure is extra feisty this morning... im gonna have to agree on the leafy greens. i liek them lots. also good to eat them with cheese to nullify the oxalates in your gut and avoid kidney stones. i do not remember where I read that calcium combines with oxalates in the gut to prevent later accumulation in th kidneys, butt I will acknowledge it could be utter bulshit. sounds plausible though and the cheese is my own extrapolation because it contains calcium. i stand by this advice:cool:

Speaking of carbs, baked some cupcakes today. Replaced 1/3 of the sugar with strawberry jam (I believe you call that jelly?) and didn't ice (frost?) them.
Instead I halved them and served them with a smear of jam and some butter. Tasty!
Was very pleased that the experiment worked well!

Career gains or fired?
@shoes that was an interesting exposé on jelly vs jam.
I actually tried this experiment as I wanted to clear out some cheap jam I had (only 33g/100g prepared fruit content).
I know the way things work here is the lower the fruit content the more the sugar (they just replace fruit with sugar) so just using the jam as a sugar substitute seemed passable.

He’s so nice and smart, one of the most influential teachers I’ve ever had — although the fucker never did pat me on the head for my answers or comments in either of his classes. Still a little salty about that, but.. this is huge to have him as a resource and possible character witness/reference.

Going hard on legs today. Maybe do some deadlifts too.
At some point I’m probably going to need surgery on my right wrist. We’re pretty sure it’s a TFCC tear. I just got approved for the mri so just need that to confirm. But everything is pointing to that. That surgery won’t be for a while though. I have too much shit going on at work to get that fixed now. In the meantime it’s a tape job + tight wrist wraps.

i envy your tracked climb btw. I'm like 100% sure you will be hitting financial dunks in 10 years. Whereas I have worries about myself! Have you always worn wrist straps? If not, do you think having them in the past could have prevented this? I picked some wrist support straps up a few months ago when i was finally able to commit to heavier lifts and less reps. And man, they are a blessing..
I'm hoping i got my hands on these wraps just in time for this next phase of my lifting.. Which is heavy....

Yea, I’ve always worn them. My triceps have always been one of my strongest muscles. I think I was just doing too much weight at the time and the rest of my arm wasn’t able to support the weight, causing it to put a lot of pressure on the wrist.

I go one month hypertrophy with half-1RM x20 (+15%)x 16 (+15%)x12 (+15%)x8
then the next month its all strength training 4repx90%/1RM 6repx85%/1RM 8repx75%/1RM
On the third month I go 2weeks of strip-sets starting at 80% down to 40%/1RM shedding 15% of the starting weight with as close to no-break as possible, followed by 2 weeks of supersets push/pull.
1RM on the core 5:
DL 290
Squat 245
BP 235
OHP 170
Row 160
Aiming for 1000lb club by end of year, and yeah straps, back brace, and wristwraps pretty much necessary for strength month, which starts again next week. I'm thinking the bulk of the target is going to need to come from DL. If i can break 365 on DL and 320 on Squat I can get there, but I don't do that half-rep crap with my squats so the struggle is real.

And yet I feel thankful for what I do have and really like being me somehow. I look like I'm in my early 20s, have good health with no electrolyte imbalances, and I have a pretty good shot at being wildly successful with multiple long term goals focused on making the world a better place. You're just another crazy person from Florida suffering from poor diet due to a lousy understanding of nutrition. Being you must suck.
"We joke online about “first-world problems,” but we really have become victims of our own success. Stress-related health issues, anxiety disorders, and cases of depression have skyrocketed over the past thirty years, despite the fact that everyone has a flat-screen TV and can have their groceries delivered. Our crisis is no longer material; it’s existential, it’s spiritual. We have so much fucking stuff and so many opportunities (https://markmanson.net/you-cant-have-it-all) that we don’t even know what to give a fuck about anymore."

El-Erian’s priority was $100 million per year. His priority was CEO. His priority was private helicopters and stretch limos and bankers jerking off all over his balance sheet wherever he went. And to earn those things, he chose to give up being present in his daughter’s life.
Until one day, he chose the opposite.
Lol,
I'll keep this article in mind if I ever start making a 100 million a year and feel depressed.
Bit I like the rest of what you said. I think less money paid out to capitalists and more paid out to descent wages, trans humanism, and non-war technological developments might go a long way.

I dunno if it'll matter. Facebook informed me the planet is gonna be irrecoverably screwed by 2050 if we don't stop using fossil fuels... now. That's our lifetime and certainly any of our generation's children are going to reap whatever cataclysm we've sown. I've been kinda sad I'll never have kids, but honestly... it's kind of a shitty thing to have kids when the apocalypse is on the horizon, one way or the other, so I don't feel so bad about it now. You're all my children and I love you, even that slow one from Florida.

So I had the last cigarette left around here -- didn't buy any but they were a few here. Won't buy any -- that's definitely not a bridge ill cross.
I had my second to last one in a parking lot today. I was feeling good, having just worked wearing my sun glasses etc. Some gaggle of young girls drove by and said some kind of catcall I guess to me.
Then I realized I was doing Phillip Mores dirty work for him and thought: "alright, now its time to take off the glasses and put the cig out you douche bag."
I had to have the last one though. Nicotine really is amazing mentally. But I can't keep radiating my lungs and aging my skin etc. The world to smoke in now anyway. Can't be trying to take breaks all day for smokes and have that tobacco smell all over me. Yellow finger nails and teeth and all that other bullshit.
But its a bit anxious for me lately and I feel like those few helped me through that.

My G.F and i switched to vaping about 4 years ago.. Randomly a few months ago we asked a friend if we could have one of her smokes. It was morning, i had coffee in hand, and a smoke.. The perfect morning starter kit.
I learned that morning, smoking now makes me want to throw up haha.. So if i have anything to thank from 4 years of vaping, it's that at least i can't go back to smokes.. Part of me was bummed i didn't get to enjoy that last smoke tho haha.
That being said- Vaping is not healthy, in fact i smoke more now cause i can vape everywhere! In the house, in my office haha. It's too convenient. The only reason i truly promote vaping over smoking, is purely because vaping is strictly the vapers problem now..
With cigs.. They are everybodies problem..
-They get littered all over.
-They start fires.
-You can smell it everywhere
-And the smoke stains everything
Nobody is throwing their vapes on the ground when it runs out of juice. Nobody ever said " Ewww what is that smell, strawberry shortcake delight"?
You got this Juris buddy!!

Good luck to the brave souls putting down cigarettes. Been on the path myself for about a year now since I started swimming again. I had zero yesterday but bought a pack this morning on the way to work. If I can get down to 2x cigs a day and really enjoy them when I smoke them instead of it just being a habit, then I'll be where I want to be. One in the morning and one in the evening seems harmless when compared to a pack a day that I see other people sucking down.
My brother vapes and swears by it, but I also see him smoking cigarretes too, which seems counter productive. I've tried vaping, but it doesn't give the same sensation and I'm left feeling like I smoked a thing but didn't fill the urge. I also agree with J that it is way too convenient. Having to get up, going outside 2x times a day, and consciously having to think about it is better (for me) than having an alternative that I can do anywhere.
In any case, good luck, JD!

The convenience thing is where vapes get dangerous.. I know many people that haven't gone all in on the vapes, and still dabble with smokes.. Part of it is finding the right combo.. A device that provides the power you want, and a juice that hits the spot. I was able to attach immediately to vaping once i tried it.. I was lucky enough to have a setup i enjoyed from the beginning..
My issue is i need the vape/juice to have a hit on my throat. And that can be trial and error with brands. If a juice is too smooth, then it does nothing for me. I'm still left with a craving after each puff. But once you find a device that works for you, paired with a juice that has the hit/flavor you want. Is very, very enjoyable.
Nothing will ever match the first smoke of the morning with a cup of coffee.. But if you stick with vaping, you'll realize gagging and dry heaving to have a cigerette is not very pleasing haha.

JD, good job recognizing the example and advertisement you set by smoking. Creating a context of apparent consensus for dark things is bad. This motivates a lot of my puritanism.
I strongly advise the gum to all y'all having trouble. It's the mechanism of delivery of nicotine that makes it such an obsessive sort of addiction. Nicotine itself is not particularly hard to withdraw from; it's the pavlovian mechanism of addiction to an instant high linked to an action that is really terrible. It's comparable to addiction to IV heroin; the instant results reprogram your brain powerfully.
I've switched to gum from a 4ish-month habit of constant vaping and smoking in this last week. Now that the impulse to reach down, pick up an item, put it in my mouth and intake drugs (reminds me of my nailbiting habit) is semi-extinguished, I am naturally doing less and less gum already. My nic intake is down by like 2/3. I'm planning a week off of work to withdraw from several of my nerve drugs and bootcamp hiking; I'll probably cease nic in that time too.
Btw, the gum is actually pretty good recreationally. It's like a super-special cup of coffee and it isn't that much more addictive.

My G.F and i switched to vaping about 4 years ago.. Randomly a few months ago we asked a friend if we could have one of her smokes. It was morning, i had coffee in hand, and a smoke.. The perfect morning starter kit.

Bit I like the rest of what you said. I think less money paid out to capitalists and more paid out to descent wages, trans humanism, and non-war technological developments might go a long way.
How do you fund these things? Do you recognize the connection between luxury, leisure, and an economy that has excess to pursue things beyond subsistence?

Even if you're an athiest materialist/humanist, you have to concede "consciousness" is an emergent property of being an organic meatbag. So, even at the most godless fringe of science, consciousness is not transferable.

This isn't the full extent of "transhumanism". Another aspect is the use of medical science to augment and improve humans. For instance, the HRT which segued me from an aggressively sociopathic nihilist to a very nice and calm and far more economically productive human.
I do, actually, think making such therapies available to young people (youngens stand to benefit the most / experience the best results) is a fantastic investment. It is at least as sound as state investment into mental health services. It gets people interested in their own bodies and their presentation. In a good candidate, it kickstarts an aesthetic renaissance in the individual away from being a fat shit who smokes and toward a lifelong pursuit of fitness and pursuit of one's dream aesthetic. It grants people an agency over their own bodies and destinies which invites success. And it puts more pretty girls who enjoy traditional gender roles into the world.

Pretty retarded. There is nothing fundamentally organic about consciousness. It is an emergent electromagnetic system. An equivalent electromagnetic field can be generated by silicon.
Obviously, your personal experience would cease the moment your particular field-instance was terminated. But a perfect copy, be it conjured from silicon or organic matter or a thousand voices singing the right notes at a Tesla coil, of the emergent EM field your meat generates, equally sentient and equally human, would experience a continuous existence. It would experience your past, but you would not experience your future. It's the Star Trek transporter conundrum and I personally wouldn't get into one either. But you are an utter mongo for stating that consciousness can only exist in the medium of Earth-meat my dude.

How many angels fit on the head of a pin? Even if a digital emulation were possible, that is not "consciousness". "Consciousness" is the experiencer that is rooted at the base of the electochemical reactions it is not the pathways the electrochemical signals follow and it is intrinsically rooted in the organic being. Any attempt to trabsplant experiences would merely be an echo, if it were even that.

It was everybody buying a Ford that built that developed America. Not a handful buying multiple Europeon sports cars.
We actively take money from the private economy -- right now -- and spend it on research. It's that research tends to be bombs, planes and ships we don't need.
We don't have to go all the way to command economy to redirect resources into more productive areas.
BTW not all rich are equal on a macro-scale. Some are just complete speculative leeches that should probably be taxed out of their line of work. Which was my point on the trail-lawyer quip.

Dogshit gibberish soul talk. A perfect "echo" of a human consciousness embedded into a machine and provided equivalent inputs/outputs is clearly a sentient being. Imagine a silicon brain emulator strapped in to a farm-grown meat-suit which has all the same nerve outputs and inputs as a regular human body, but passed through a translation mechanism so that the appropriate field equivalent can be generated inside of the silicon. That entity has an experience indistinguishable from that of a normal human being.
Dissociating those inputs/outputs does not disable the sentience of the being. Therefore that emulated echo of a meat-consciousness trapped in a silicon prison, though it would have a bizarre experience, is a sentient and living being for so long as the electromagnetic transformations that occur in time in real space by biological means are properly emulated. Regardless of whether that being was endowed its existence by your God or by technology.

Transhumanism (abbreviated as H+ or h+) is an international philosophical movement that advocates for the transformation of the human condition by developing and making widely available sophisticated technologies to greatly enhance human intellect and physiology.[1][2]
Transhumanist thinkers study the potential benefits and dangers of emerging technologies that could overcome fundamental human limitations as well as the ethical[3] limitations of using such technologies.[4] The most common transhumanist thesis is that human beings may eventually be able to transform themselves into different beings with abilities so greatly expanded from the current condition as to merit the label of posthuman beings
It's a pretty broad category to go claiming has no merit or use. It's that kind of small minded BS post that proves we have sorted very well in meritocracy.

About 80% of the population should be female anyway. We don't need as many laborers as we used to -- especially with appropriate technology. Females are more orderly and compliant. Men are much happier with a surplus of women and the kinds of men worth keeping around can generally handle more than one.
With enough transhumanism people could theoretically switch back and forthwith or change for the needs or their job or desires. Now it tends to be more of a one-way ticket where the best results come from those that decide as a child...far from an ideal situation.
And that's just the gender piece. The other huge area might would be mental health and cognitive abilities. Both can be greatly improved if your not all techno-phobic about this stuff.
Life greatly extended (and more youthful) and human potential can truly become unbound by some of natural barriers. It is the future as I see it.

no, Patriam, the rest of us would be women. And that would be fine. I think the 1800s Mormon family model with an unrestrained sexual connection between all parties holds a lot of promise.
anyway, you're right that boundless confidence/ego expression really is all you need to be eligible to attract anybody. I learnt it from my first bf, this colombian boy huge slut with a tongue piercing. Maybe 6/10, he was a little fat. I was a 10/10 at the time and thought I was str8. He acted like he knew eeeeverything (and he was a reasonably sharp chemical engineer with MIT pals and such, so, it was credible). and he spoke about sex so directly, in a way that at first made me blush and made me find him crass and embarrassing, like he was putting on a show. But he just let it flow liek that and that's how he was. It wasn't really an act. unrestrained. 100% irresistible. So one day he pinned me to a wall and made out with me and I was down.
I basically cloned him for my boy persona. And I never did face rejection ever. In fact, I'm the only person in that boy's life to ever con him into monogamy, so I think my adaptation must be pretty top shelf. Fake it til you make it rly is all u need in this life.

females consume alot more, in clothes and medical and makeup. I think it would stimulate the economy. Also we'd be a huge tourist destination, a paradise of beauty. I think ideally we would keep the rest of the world regular male/female 50 50 and be the matriarchal crown of the Earth, and btw that apparently is not fascist so I think it is legal in this scenario. Red meat consumption wuold go down so, less cow farts. And small cute cars would be a larger market. And virtue signalling about being a pure waifu who only eats lentils and rice, like i do, would be like the thing. Therefore the carbon footprint difference would be negligible or possibly even negative. We would be the medical and info and tech and entertainment capitol of the planet. And I still would place high enough to secure primary mate status with one of the rarified alpha males, harem mammy style. It's a wonderful imagining.

Well I'm sure we could improve "the pill" at some point here. Were talking about literally being able to construct female anatomy. I'm sure by then we could have the pregnancy thing more dialed in.

I think we’re about 10 years from same-sex pregnancy. That would make a post-male society possible because I think how that works out is all the children are female due to Xs involved. (Which may be for the best because the Y chromosome these days isn’t what it used to be.) I was so happy to read about that a week ago, I could legit be a mother; but I’d need a surrogate unless artificial wombs happen and I don’t trust anyone else to do that.

I used to climb 3 days a week at a climbing gym years ago. Was probably the most fun physical activity outside of my skateboarding. However, ripping my hard earned callus's from the gym always sucked.
Anyways, one day climbing i dislocated my shoulder and fell straight to my back on the bottom mat. Luckily i wasn't high, but the fall popped my shoulder back in.. Months later after it was healed, i tried to climb again.. The second i had to make a touch reach, it popped out instantly.
That was the end to my climbing.. That being said Cen- I know you just started, but is popping ur shoulder out normal for climbers? And how can i fix/stop it from happening? That shit hurts.

I started rock climbing. Any climbers?
I do sorta "free climb" - I've never been a gear and ropes and carabiners climber, but I definitely scale things that are pretty vertical and treacherous. Like taking the shorter route to a summit instead of trail. My bf thinks it is symptomatic of an impulse control mental illness lol.
Where is the dividing line between scrambles and climbs? Real question. Are you only a climber if you use gear and/or are hanging onto stuff by yer fingertips?
And what sorta climbing are you doing? Gym or what?
I used to do a lot of scrambling or climbing around Red Rock, NV. Involves pretty fun maneuvers like pressing across both sides of a tube shaped shaft to slowly descend. I rly like the thrill of heights :o
here's my really hot friend J the football star going through a crevasse we went through on acid. I used to initiate wrestling with him even tho I stood no chance - ha ha boy fun. It was real claustrophobic and I had this sense of impending doom like an earthquake was gonna squash me. this day involved some gnarly stuff like jumping huge pits from rock to rock. luv it.

oh oh I forgot, when I was a little kid there was this place called Gameworks, a huge arcade with pretty unique multiplayer games and stuff, like there was a Formula 1 game where there was actually an attendant and he'd commentate the games and congrat the winner. It also had some really early "vr"; there was a street fighter or mortal kombat controller adaptation where a camera watched you and you'd throw a punch to throw a punch etc. I remember tix to get in there were only $15. This was back when Vegas was still trying to be a Family Destination.
Anyway there was a 50 or 60 foot climbing wall that went up through this 3-story building. There was some sort of reward if you climbed it; can't remember. I scaled that fucker at like 10 years old, definitely pre-everquest for me, with mom cheering me on & everybody was floored. one of my dearest memories. indoor climbing is rly fun .

Tryin to battle the homies in street fighter, and i can only do a light punch and move forward in direction.. Real fair!!!!!!

My wife and I go probably every other month and battle each other in street fighter. It’s hilarious watching the millennials not know what to do about Kaveh and Nazanin in their middle age out drinking and out dunking on them in street fighter. God I love this town

Nope. Don’t think my wife could handle that, the emotional betrayal. Also, I would murder any man who touched her with my bare hands. I’d use my fingernails to flay him alive. I’d probably kill his entire line actually, before entering Valhalla
Honestly, I’m wearing my Apple Watch right now and my heart rate is normally 55ish resting. Even thinking about my wife with a hypothetical man it’s gone up 88 beats per minute.

Speaking of arcades, I went to a nice 'Barcade' in Bristol. Street Fighter II, metal slug and a bunch of other classics. Also ping pong and table football.
Was a good weekend. We also did an escape room, laser quest (first time in years, great fun with a good mix of kids, adults and a broken smoke machine) and a counter strike LAN party.
Not sure how the tangent of SFII relates to gains... Staying in touch with old friends and revisiting old common interests is probably a worthwhile social gains?

Got remeasured for a suit fitting. Neck and shoulder gains meant I had to go up a neck size and switch to longer sleeves!
On Friday a neighbour asked if I had lost weight, I replied I was a few kilo heavier and he told me I was looking better form (with a tighter tum)!
Lots of room to make more substantial gains. I might start pushing for it come May (I don't want to have to remeasure for this suit hire a third time, gotta get the wedding out the way first)!

Shrugs
Deadlifts
Lateral Raises (when overexerted)
Fireman Carries
The top arc of wide grip pullups
overexertion of reverse curls (especially if you have a spotter for eccentric reverse curls)
bent-over dumbell rows

Will all increase neck size

Grip is fine. I’ve never had neck gains though I’ll admit. I do shrugs but don’t deadlift or squat much. Too afraid at my age
Its all about proper form. I was pretty apprehensive about it when I started. Start on a smith machine if it helps to allay your fears.
For D/L Setup, you should be able to see the very front loop of your laces peaking out from under the bar, bend over until your fingertips are parallel with the top of your kneecap, then squat directly down from there. Lean back a little and push directly down on the ground keeping your back square (use a back brace to assist you in keeping everything tight and aligned back there.)
Most of the lifting is with your hamstrings with the secondary force primarily being your grip strength. You can start as low at 75, but most say 135 (1 plate and the olympic bar) is entry level for men. You dont really straighten your back up until your 2/3rds of the way up on your hamstring's force alone.
For squats, again you can start with a smith machine, which gives you a bit of an mechanical advantage because on a smith the bar path is slightly angled back, which allows you to position your feet in front of you slightly, and push back against the ramp (so the chances that the weight would bend you forward into a position where you can hurt your back are substantially lower).
Once you can do 200 on each, you can easily drop 20% of the weight and transition to freeweight on an olympic barbell and you'll have developed enough lower back strength to significantly reduce your risks. The key is to add weight gradually to avoid backstrain or developing exertion headaches. You'll also want to be well hydrated before performing compound lifts like these, or, again, your chances of overexertion and developing exertion headache related injuries is increased.

what would the carbon footprint ramifications be for a supermajority female society? wouldn't expanding womb access surely increase the fertility rate, dooming are planet?
assume the following:
1. installable wombs
2. no fascism
what's the point of installable wombs in the context of a female super-majority? not much utility in dual-wombing given one womb can facilitate multiple conceptions. is it just the mechanism to effect such a state?
i'd expect an appreciable increase in IQ and/or for women to become more masculine depending on the environment. in the current context, I'd expect more of the former given that other masculine traits are largely unnecessary and women express aggression more often in mental and emotional arenas than physical ones where they are disadvantaged.
i would expect that those changes would result in a reduced carbon footprint, though smart people are still capable of great stupidity, so I dunno. I also agree with J on less consumption of animal products, if for no other reason than there would be fewer people willing to work in related industries thereby resulting in lower supply.

Agreed, and I feel like some people are truly gifted with the ability to run. I didn't have all that hard a time getting back on, only been 2 weeks, so maybe today I will just go do it. Take it easy, than try and get back out in a few more days.
To be honest the running part was never really hard to me. It was the structural discipline part. Once I am moving I just zone out happily. Feel great afterwards. Wish there where a bit more interesting areas to go running at here. Where I wasn't exactly afraid of being eaten alive by wild animals.

Probiotics are always essential for gut health and digestion. I prefer taking a pill every day. I drink a lot of kefir and kevita. The main thing is doing it consistently / daily since they don’t stay very long in our gut.
Generally speaking most people eating "super foods" are pretty health conscious with a decent diet. But you can still max out on probiotics, vitamins, and minerals and still be a fat and unhealthy. So just incorporating fermented foods and shots of wheat grass aren't going to do much for you if you're still eating mass amounts of carbs and no exercise.

Today I did some deadlifts with this rowing routine
1000m
10 push ups

20 push ups

normally you do 20/30/40/50 push ups but they are still a little hard for me. I blame having long arms.

I think probiotics are a good thing. They say people on a high processed western diet have a lack of diversity with their stomach bacteria and its associated with all kinds of problems. There was some study where natives from Latin America lost most their stomach bacteria diversity over the course of a few decades and they all got obese after moving to America.
That being said it can make the whole digestive processes a bit more gassy and smelly (especially at first) in my experience. But I think a lot of that improves once your body adjusts.
Same thing with beans I noticed. Beans are great though once you adjust.

Vicarious gains: My childhood friend Chris just got promoted to Senior Chief in the Navy! Enlisted rank 8/9.
“Advancement to senior chief petty officer is similar to that of chief petty officer. It carries requirements of time in service, superior evaluation scores, and peer review. In the Navy, it is the first promotion that is based entirely on proven leadership performance; test scores do not play a part. A chief petty officer can only advance to senior chief if a board of master chiefs approves, convened every year around March. Senior chief petty officers make up just 2.5% of the total enlisted force of the Navy and overall fall within the top 4% of the enlisted ranks.”

I read a really interesting (and humorous) perspective on BMI.
Instead of saying "by BMI I am overweight", instead say "by BMI I am underheight"!
Yesterday I accidentally discovered bierkellers in the UK sell beer in 2 pint steins. Seeing as I was meant to be driving, I had to stay out extra late just to sober up. Which in turn meant drinking too many sugary colas. Dang.

I read about a hot Aryan woman whom I look like.
Apparently we have a similar opinion on diet.
Also yes. That was me today. I ate a ton of cookies and cakes. Getting back on the horse tomorrow.

Yea, I'm sure you're aware that weight fluctuates a few pounds day to day even hour by hour normally. Also muscle weight. Stress can make it harder to lose weight btw. So you might be making youself fat thinking about it too much!

I decided to eat a whole deep dish pizza because I was upset that my face was all gaunt and bony looking.
Face (and boobs) looked 100% better in the morning. I might have to stick at 190.

Little Caesar's deep!deep! dish pepperoni because I'm classy like that. I think they're dead to me as my go to depression food though, because they raised their price on everything by a dollar or so. Came to like $9.53 or something like that. Think I'm made of money Caesar? I'll get my pizza, pizza elsewhere from now on.

2770 calories, so thats far less than a pound, but the 5g of salt probably has a little more to do with it. Also, I read that for every 1g of carbs you store as fat, you keep 3g of water. So ~300g carbs = 900g H20 = +2 lbs on top of the extra H20 retention from a multiday dose of NaCl. I drank like 40oz of water when I woke up that morning. +Weight of an entire pizza moving through GI tract probably accounts for all 6 lbs.
~1 lb from calories
~2 lbs from carbs
~1.5 lbs weight of food (estimated)
~1.5 lbs water retention from hypertension diet (estimated)
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go purchase some Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia. Should I go for the lactose free one, for reasons, or just do the regular milk?

holy shit look at the numbers on the chart, even for a full pizza most people aren't going to eat 1/8 of a pizza ( probably one small slice )
I imagine those are "Large" Sized pizzas which basically feed 2 people
It’s like 3x3” square slices cut into 8. I think 2 is a reasonable meal. 3+ makes me judge myself, so usually eat half the pizza and vow to never go there again. Then I eat the rest in the morning.

So I spent all weekend hiking with some hot redhead. It really good at first -- then I started to notice a stabbing pain in my heals -- but wtf you going to do? "Oh sorry we got to cancel everything because I'm a pussy" -- wasn't going to do that. So I just dealt with it.
Unfortunately, now my heals look like this:
10824
So I still got to work out -- but running is kind of out of the question. Figure ill just do some lifting stuff. I just probably be able to just bandage them up and be good for more.
But take my advice, read up on blister prevention before big hikes.

Your first problem is that your feet are just stubs there's like no foot or toe there. Also they are backwards.
Also, you will heal and then u won't get blisters again. Hopefully.
I had like mad blisters when I did my first FTX but I eventually stopped getting them and my feet aren't totally destroyed either.

whoa you must be pretty tough to do that like without complaint!! or did she hear and blow it off?
anyway here's a recommender (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfHvThw2oE4) to help prevent what might have happened.
here's (https://blog.outdoorherbivore.com/camp-tips/saving-your-toes-hiking-downhill/) the other big tip I had sorta divined. basically you want to make the thing real tight at the ankle while you're headed downhill so you aren't catching your weight by smashing your toes into the toebox. i have a prob with this one. Sounds like you're probably getting heel slippage on the way up, too, so probably worth deploying early. For some reason I don't find it blister-making to slip and slide inside my shoes on the way up (and if I lace tight on uphill, my feets will go numb). I'm guessing all anyone can give you is guidelines since every feet to shoe interface is unique.
anyway yes lacing makes a huge difference and there's a different optimum for every shoez. You should take it slow and relace as soon as you start feeling a hot spot next time, so you can gather the data points to improve. It ain't a contest of speed butt endurance

The poster above u doesn't appreciate that info. Cuz it's uneccissarily verbose. It's not godly to poop. U should be a cyborg that doesn't poop. U should just print little pellets with designs that get melted down into fresh batteries in a nukereactor. That is godly.
Also fucking backteria live in nuclear pools with fuel rods amiright? do they?

Positioned the bar to come down just below the sternum the first chest day after transitioning from Hypertrophy month to Strength training month. Protracted shoulders correctly etc, 220lb loaded up, was a stupid attempt to target the lower chest, should've just done that with the Decline bench after.
Felt the strain on the first rep. Put the bar back up. Stretched for a minute thinking maybe it was just a strange twisting/kink of the muscle group. Stubbornly went back at it, pressed it 3 times, profaned and left the gym pissed off.
Next day it hurt to turn my steering wheel. Bad juju

Decided to give it a go today. Had to keep the right shoulder really tight, half-weight. Mild discomfort on the 4th set @16 reps. At least got a good burn in on the last two sets. Tricep pushdowns, and hammer curls. Kept it short n sweet.
