A Toast to Filbus! - Fungus Covered Scale Tunic Giveaway

I promised I would when certain conditions were met (and they have been), so I'm giving away another fungi tunic. Here's how the giveaway will work:

I don't play much. I log on for a few hours a week and tool around on one of my alts. The first person to hand me an alcoholic beverage, drink an alcoholic beverage of their own and /say, "A Toast to Filbus! The Filthiest Footed Halfling this side of Rivervale!" (spelling and capitalization must be the same or it doesn't count) will win the Fungus Covered Scale Tunic. Also, it must be in /say. It can't be in /tell, /shout, /ooc, etc.

When I am found, I will drink and respond with a toast of my own, which is known only to me (to prevent fraudsters).

Here's the trick: I won't tell you which alt I'm on or when I'm on. I'm pretty sure nobody knows the alt I currently play is mine, and I also tend to pop on at various times of day, so it will be fair for all. Make those macros, buy those ales and try to find me.

When the first person finds me and toasts proper, I'll meet them in EC with the fungi and pass it off. I'll snap a screenshot of the first encounter as well as the awarding of the prize and post them in this thread.

One hint I'll give is you'll never find me in East Commonlands (until it is time to give away the fungi), that zone sucks. So don't annoy the people there, unless you want to, but there's no fungi in it if you do. I'll give a new hint each week of my alt's identity until I am found.

Remember, I could be anybody, so be generous with the drink and toast with everyone Filbus's name!

Well, I'm sorry you feel that way. My intent wasn't to make it look like a scam, in fact the complete opposite. My specific rules were meant so that: 1) There could be only one winner, because, frankly, I don't want to give away two fungi tunics. And 2) A couple of people couldn't stage something that made it look like they found me when they haven't and start a ruckus about how I owe them a fungi.

But, if you don't like it, don't play along. I'm an honest guy and many honest people here would vouch for that.

Every day Ravager logs in then hides/sneaks his rogue deep into RunnyEye down to where you can hear the goblin chatter and spell castings. There he parks himself for hours watching the screen with a beer seated next to his mouse, hoping no one ever finds him so this routine can never end.

I do this too, and yet I still have no problem with a more complex or difficult quest that involves the give away of an extremely high tier pixel reward.

I could see the hate here if you thought Ravager was somehow gaining something out of this. From my perspective he is gaining nothing from this, and only loses his personal time and an item worth a lot of plat.

Oh well, you free to express your opinion I just don't see the criticisms on this one making any sense.

I am wondering if you might have to tell people a general idea when you logged in.

This would make people more diligent knowing you actually on, and would allow you to try to pick a much better hiding spot seeing people would be working hard to find you.

Only recommending this if it goes on past a point you grow tired of hiding. I am guessing it aint too bad if you actually doing stuff in the game though.

No idea. I don't think so. Most old BDA de-tagged 2 years ago when the guild left p1999 and are floating around Norrath in all sorts of new homes now. I'm probably going to need a new home too but I haven't decided how much time I'm willing to commit back into EQ.

Then she cheered and tried it on you and said it incorrecty due to low alcohol tolerance.
