So, will TOOL actually release a new album this year? What comes first, Pantheon or TOOL? Discuss. Or don’t.

Wasn't there some legal dispute for the album art?

Jesus, 10000 days came out in 2006 lol. Just found my Lateralus album a few days ago when I moved. Listening to parabola did me some good.

I remember that day. Love that album(10,000 Days). Of course, Lateralus is one of the greats.

There is a really good video for Right in Two

I've never seen world history so well described in 10 mins.

Even if you hate the music it is worth just watching the claymation.

Maynard is busy making music with Puscifer and A Perfect Circle.

R.I.P. Tool.

Maynard has only done like 1000 podcasts explaining that he can do all the lyrics in a few weeks as soon as they give him the music. 100% of the wait has been because Adam, Justin and Danny must complete all the instrumentals before Maynard can have the mix to write to it.

they said they sent him music??????? But hearing conflicting reports.

Maynard does work fast. He's known as being one of the fastest working vocalists in the music industry.

My guess is Maynard is too busy triggering vegans on twitter

My guess is Maynard is too busy making wine. 2020 maybe.

I bought a bottle of his wine. It was pretty good! I’m no wine guy I couldn’t give you the full yuppie style review but it was wet and had booze in it so it passed my test.

I thought there was a legal dispute between the label and Tool that prevented any new works from "Tool", hence Perfect Circle.

I wasn't aware of any legal issues, I was under the impression Maynard wanted to spread his imagination wings so banded up with other musicians to create fresh new music.

He also fronts Puscifer, not just A Perfect Circle.

I think Tool had its time, and Maynard has long since moved on.

Uh no. APC is a project with longtime Tool guitar tech Billy Howerdel. It's just one of the projects Maynard got involved with because he was tired of waiting (in the most recent case, over a decade) for Tool to write the instrumentals for a new album.

I remember a Marc Maron interview with Maynard. I felt sorry for him because they guy apparently always wanted to do humor and be funny. But his jokes sucks and he's just not funny. He knew this and said it himself.

So he wants to be funny. Is not funny. And worst of all is smart enough to know that he isn't funny and all the kiss-asses around him laugh because he's the guy from Tool et al.

I guess no one can have it all.
