Hi All,

I just started out with an ogre warrior and I'm reading about problems within dungeons in regards to movement. Is this really an issue? That I can't navigate certain dungeons because I'm too big? Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks!

It's a thing. You will need to group with shamans in some dungeons to shrink you or have shrink potions or later on items like cobalt bracer.

The upside is orges have the best stats lol

Although you can always move around, you may just be ducked so you will move slow and can't fight. Many dungeon camps are in larger rooms where you will be okay, but getting there is annoying if you have to fight your way there

When you're bent over, with mobs beating your behind in the tunnel, just keep repeating the mantra; FSI, FSI!

Buy shrink pots until you can buy a cobalt bracer. Problem solved.

All ogre warriors are born under the deity Rallos Zek. 'Nuff said.

It's like two classic dungeons where this is a problem.
Moreso just stinkin elves who cry because hansum ogre flesh on their camera. Then demand you must shrink. But then they think being a fatass barb/iksar wearing a pretty azure dress blocking everyone is perfectly fine (avatar included obv). /shakefist

True. Ogres have FSI and hidden values. Truly the superior race on p99.

yes but it wont prevent you from enjoying content, its just an annoyance. Also you will enjoy the feeling of being such an alpha(ogre) that you cannot fit in a world built by betas (elves).

Go into your EQ Options menu in game and turn off Allow Auto-duck.

Auto-duck will get you killed very quickly as an ogre.

If you go into a small area as an ogre and you manually duck then you can unduck at any time and your head will go into the ceiling but you will be able to move and fight.

If you auto-duck into a small area you will not be unduck until you reach a higher ceiling area. Auto-duck works differently than manual duck. Turn it off.

So I’m understanding that you can move through any dungeon, like it’s not going to block you, but you will have to duck at times?

its not that bad, use shrink pots. the potions don't have a duration, they will last until you zone so a single stack can last you a real long time.

Too many quacks per minute anyway

Shrink pots work outside and inside. Save up for some.. They are usually 225p-250p for a 10 charge potion. So about 22.5p - 25p a charge.. You can usually just use one charge per session, not usually needing to double shrink.. Also just inform your group to let you loot a gem or grab a couple fine steel weapons to cover the cost. You should probably try to keep two potions at all times. Expensive at first but worth it! Although every time you die or zone out the effect will be removed.. However it cannot be dispelled and has no duration otherwise.

There will be some stuff you can't navigate, like gaps in jail bars, holes in boulder piles, etc.

Turn off auto-duck which can be treacherous. You gonna have to duck around in most dungeons, I suggest binding duck to the space button especially if u r pulling so you have easy way to double-tap

*Jumps through the hole in wall in Sol A*

*Shimmies through the crack to get into the Hole*

*Pulls like a boss wherever he wants*

I don’t have this issue.
