FWIW I too did not know it was possible to use quotations to receive exact matches.

You can mix and mash this stuff together for results.
Examples:
/who all
/who class (Ex: /who druid for zone. /w druid all for serverwide.)
/who race (Ex: /who "Iksar" (for your zone), /w "Iksar" all (for entire server.))
/who name (Ex: /who Bob (for your zone) /who Bob all (for entire server))
/who "friends" (for a list of friends online)
/who number or /who number-number (Ex: /w 50 (for level 50 players in your zone or /who 50 all (for your server)). Or you can do a range /w 50 60 (for your zone) or /w 50 60 all (for the entire server).
/who "count" (Ex: /w count (to count those in your zone) or /w count all (doesn't work) or /w count guild (counts all in your guild that are online). I think this works with raid and expedition as well.
/who "guild name" all (Ex: /w "The Guild Name" (lists all of that guild in the zone you are in). /w "The Guild Name" all (for all online members of that guild on the server).

Fun fact, you can just type "/ rog" for rogues in current zone and "/ all rog" for serverwide! No need for the "who" at all!
